Meet Rima Bhavsar

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rima Bhavsar. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rima below.

Rima, so great to have you on the platform and excited to have you share your wisdom with our community today. Communication skills often play a powerful role in our ability to be effective and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your communication skills.
My very first job was in sales, where I learned how to talk to people and understand what they really want. Think about it like this: when you’re selling something, you have to listen carefully to what people are saying. That’s because everyone has different needs and preferences.

In sales, I learned that listening to customers is super important. I had to pay close attention to what they were saying so I could help them find the best solution. Now, as a real estate agent, I use this skill all the time. Whether it’s a family looking for a bigger house or someone wanting to downsize, I listen carefully to understand what they need and want.

Another thing I learned in sales is that people want to trust you. So, I always made sure to be honest and upfront with my customers. Trust is just as important in real estate. When people are buying or selling a home, they need someone they can rely on. My experience in sales taught me how to build that trust from the start.

After working in sales, I became a nurse. Now, you might be thinking, “How does nursing relate to real estate?” Well, let me explain. Nursing taught me a lot about talking to people, understanding their feelings, and handling different situations.

As a nurse, I learned how to be empathetic, which means understanding and sharing other people’s feelings. This skill has been super useful in real estate too! Buying or selling a home can be stressful, so it’s essential to understand how people are feeling and help them through the process.

Nursing also taught me how to stay calm and handle tough situations. In healthcare, things can change quickly, and you have to be ready to adapt. This ability to stay calm and focused has helped me in real estate, especially when dealing with unexpected challenges or negotiations.

So, how do my experiences in sales and nursing make me a better real estate agent? Well, it’s simple. My background in sales taught me how to listen to clients, understand their needs, and build trust. On the other hand, my time as a nurse taught me empathy, resilience, and how to handle tough situations.

By combining these skills, I’ve become a real estate agent who can communicate effectively, understand clients’ needs, and navigate the ups and downs of buying or selling a home. So, if you’re looking for an agent who really gets you, remember that my unique blend of sales and nursing experience has prepared me to help you find your dream home with ease!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
