We recently connected with Rita Scott and have shared our conversation below.

Rita , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Developing self confidence as well as self esteem is never an easy process. For me it was a matter of finding value within myself. I also wanted to be an example to my daughters and granddaughters that you can be who it is that God has called you to be regardless of your trauma. I also wanted them to know that in order to request and receive love from others you had to first love yourself.

Meet Rita Marie Scott, a 43 year old remarkable woman hailing from the quaint town of Greenville, GA. As a devoted mother of four wonderful kids and a multitude of bonus children, Rita’s journey is a testament to resilience, compassion, and the unwavering spirit of a survivor.
Throughout Rita’s life there’s been many “Life’s Triumphs and Struggles alike”. Rita’s story is one of triumph over adversity. A survivor of domestic abuse, she emerged stronger, transforming her painful experiences into a source of inspiration for others. A dedicated mother, sister, and a beacon of hope, Rita’s indomitable spirit fuels her passion for giving back to her hometown.
In addition to her roles as a mother and survivor, Rita dons the crown with grace and elegance. Holding the prestigious title of Ms. Exquisite Full-Figured GA 2023, she is not only a queen on the stage but also a queen in the hearts of those she touches with her story.
Rita’s dedication to her community is palpable. She actively serves her hometown, channeling her passion for people into initiatives that make a real impact. Her heart beats for those who have faced or are facing domestic abuse, as she extends a helping hand and a listening ear to women navigating similar challenges.
Beyond her role as a mother, Rita is an amazing Gigi to five grandchildren. Family is at the core of her being, and she radiates love and wisdom to both her children and grandchildren.
A Life Devoted to Giving is what she strives for. Rita’s life is not just about personal triumphs but about lifting others up. Whether it’s through sharing her story as a survivor, mentoring others, or actively participating in community service, Rita Marie Scott is a beacon of strength, compassion, and empowerment.
As Rita’s to reign as Ms. Exquisite Full-Figured GA 2023 has concluded, her mission goes beyond the stage—it’s about empowering others, especially women, and creating a community where everyone can stand tall, proud, and unbroken.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back at the three qualities or areas of knowledge that were most impactful for me were my ability to adapt, communication, and self worth. The advice that I would give to anyone who is early in their journey would be to believe in yourself even when others don’t see your vision. It is important to trust the process even when you don’t understand it. It’s easy to want to confirm what it is that others are doing and at times attempt to adjust to conform to what’s perceived to be the norm. God created you to be extraordinary and not ordinary. Embrace that unapologetically!
