Meet Riya Rose

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Riya Rose. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Riya, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
When I started holding space I was so nervous. I would spend hours reading all the information I could get my hands on and meticulously planning what I would do. I didn’t think my energy was enough, I didn’t think I was enough to hold the space without having all the information there was to have. Fast forward years of studying, so many teachers, certifications and spaces held and that feeling of “not enough” was still there. I was still a victim to imposter syndrome.

It was time for me to reframe what it meant to hold space. I was laser focused on the wrong parts of holding space and being a leader. Of course, information and training play a part, but the real magic was in trusting the embodiment of my channel. It wasn’t how I could show up as the most knowledgeable person in the room but rather how I could anchor into trust of my being and open to receive guidance for what the space needed. When I was fully embodied and in trust of the inherent worthiness of my being the magic naturally flowed.

It wasn’t a simple task to move past imposter syndrome and the journey is ongoing. I had to face the wounded parts of my self that believed I wasn’t enough. I had to meet my ego and its desire for recognition and recommit to service for the sake of service instead. It took years, many modalities of healing and showing up even when I didn’t believe.

Now I am longer drained from holding spaces and have released the nervous energy I use to embody.

Now I have held countless spaces, led countless experiences and no matter how many people I am guiding I don’t feel nervous.

I am anchored into my embodiment and trust completely the unique channel that I am. The long road to self empowerment was so very worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on my journey, I can confidently say that embodiment, self-trust, and intuition were the three most impactful qualities that shaped my path. These three elements played crucial roles in my personal and professional growth, and I believe they can be transformative for anyone who is early in their journey as well.

Embodiment:
Embodiment refers to the ability to be fully present in our physical bodies and deeply connected to our emotions, thoughts, and sensations. Being embodied allowed me to better understand myself and others, fostering empathy and compassion. It empowered me to take ownership of my actions and decisions, leading to a stronger sense of authenticity. To develop embodiment, I encourage early journeyers to engage in practices that promote self-awareness, such as mindfulness meditation, yoga, or even regular journaling. The more you understand and embrace your physical and emotional experiences, the better equipped you’ll be to navigate life’s challenges.

Self-Trust:
Self-trust is the belief in one’s abilities, judgments, and instincts. It played a vital role in overcoming self-doubt and external pressures. By trusting myself, I became more confident in pursuing my goals and dreams, even when faced with uncertainty. For those starting their journey, I recommend cultivating self-trust by acknowledging and celebrating your achievements, no matter how small. Set realistic goals and take incremental steps towards them. Embrace failure as an opportunity for growth and learning, and believe in your capacity to navigate the obstacles that arise.

Intuition:
Intuition is the inner wisdom that guides us beyond logical reasoning. Developing and tapping into my intuition allowed me to make better decisions and align my choices with my core values and my soul purpose. Those just beginning their path can enhance their intuition by practicing active listening to their inner voice and gut feelings. Create moments of stillness and reflection in your daily life, allowing your intuition to surface naturally. Notice when your intuition speaks and note the sensations or experience of your intuitive voice. With time and practice, you’ll notice how your intuition becomes a valuable compass in making important life choices.

Advice for early journeyers:

Embrace Your Journey: Every path is unique, and comparing yourself to others will only hold you back. Embrace your journey wholeheartedly, with all its ups and downs, as even the most difficult moments are essential to your soul’s evolution.

Embrace Failure and Mistakes: Mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow. Don’t be afraid to take risks and make mistakes along the way. Learn from them, adapt, and continue moving forward.

Seek Guidance and Support: Connect with mentors, peers, or a supportive community who can offer valuable insights and encouragement. Collaboration and learning from others will accelerate your progress.

Practice Gratitude: Cultivate gratitude for both the successes and challenges you encounter. Gratitude shifts your focus to what you already have and keeps you off the hamster wheel of always chasing more.

Prioritize Self-Care: Take care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. When you’re being is in balance, you’ll be better equipped to face challenges and stay focused on your goals.

Remember, the journey is as important as the destination. Be patient with yourself and celebrate the growth and progress you make along the way. With embodiment, self-trust, and intuition as your guiding lights, you’ll find yourself navigating through life with greater clarity and purpose. Trust in your inherent abilities, and embrace the beautiful adventure that lies ahead.

How would you describe your ideal client?

The individual I envision as my ideal client is someone who wholeheartedly embraces personal growth and is determined to put in the effort required for self-awareness. Even when faced with challenging aspects along the journey, they possess the resilience to anchor themselves in their heart space and approach difficulties with grace and courage. I am drawn to those who are eager to attune to their inner wisdom, rather than seeking all the answers from external sources, as they are ready to be empowered in finding their own truth within and cultivate unwavering self-trust.
