We recently connected with Ro Johnson Richardson and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ro, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
Failing. Contrary to what it is believed, failure teaches you how to win. Most people feelings are hurt and they want to give up because failure in the mind of most means defeated. Delayed not denied.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I development my brand to assist small business owners. As a branding strategist and a marketing major, I offer affordable services that are often out of the small business budget reach.
Before Marketing & Branding I created 6Twelve Magazine in honor of my son who is autistic, 6Twelve is his birthday.
I had the opportunity to introduce autism conversations to those who were oblivious to the disorder as well as utilizing the celebrity voice to push my message.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Resilience, Consistency and Remain teachable.
Being an entrepreneur is not for the weak or faint of heart. You must not give up, bow out or give in. Consistency is key even when it doesnt look favorable keep going. The Bible says, in due season you shall
Reap! Just keep going do not quit. If God gave you a promise stand on it, it shall come to pass if you faint not.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
They didnt baby me, the taught me to never quit when faced with adversities. My Bonus dad would remind me often that Im different and dont ever forget it
