We were lucky to catch up with Robbe Stevens recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Robbe, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose by trying over and over again until i was proud, thats when i realized i dont really make music for someone specific, but more for myself. I want to make myself proud and thats what keeps me going. I often struggle with my confidence and ever since i started making better and better music (and actually releasing it) i’ve found myself to be way more confident than i used to be;

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I started making beats about 1,5 years ago. I think the ‘craziest’ part about my music is that im only 15. I made my first album when i was only 14 and i am currently working on a new one. I want to inspire people with my music and tell people that you can do whatever you set your mind to. I want my music to be a sort of therapy, i want people to be able to recognize themselves in some of my songs, while others can just give them energy. As i said, i’m currently working on a new album which will be completely different than my previous album with tron1c, while fourteen was rather energetic and ‘rage’, this one will be rather emotional and it will tell a story. The current story behind the album is some sort of unspoken love, or things you never got to say. I think a lot of people will recognize this and i hope this will help them. Another thing i would say makes me different from other producers is that i dont charge money for any of my beats, as i think art should be free and connecting in/through art is often more beautiful than the art itself.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would advice new producers to get connections early on, and get a big network of artists you know, as it will help to get more people to work with, i didn’t do this early on and i think this definitely had a lot of impact on my carreer. it’s also important to get your own sound. Try mixing genres for example, if you get that unique sound not a lot of producers have, its just a matter of time and promotion before you get discovered.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m mainly looking for any types of rappers, whatever type of songs you make, i can probably try to make something in your style. They can always hit me up on instagram (@shadyyasfuk) or even tiktok (@shadyyasfuk)
I love working with artists with a unique sound, whether that is trying something new or bringing back something old, im down for it.
