We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Robert Kalil a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Robert , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I didn’t find my purpose—my purpose found me. I’ve always been a curious mind, someone who questioned everything and felt like there was more beneath the surface of this world. Growing up, I had experiences and intuitions that didn’t fit into the mainstream narrative. I didn’t ignore that—I leaned into it.
What started as a deep interest in the paranormal, metaphysics, and conspiracy truth-seeking eventually evolved into the Typical Skeptic Podcast. Through the show, I realized my purpose wasn’t just to seek answers—it was to give others a voice, to ask the questions no one else would, and to build a platform where the fringe could finally be front and center.
Purpose isn’t always clear at first. It’s a journey. But when you can blend your passion, your pain, and your curiosity into something that helps others—that’s when you know you’re aligned.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
About Me & What I Do
I’m the host and creator of the Typical Skeptic Podcast, a platform that dives headfirst into the fringe: UFOs, secret space programs, metaphysics, spiritual awakenings, psychic phenomena, and government conspiracies—basically, the stuff mainstream media doesn’t want you to ask questions about. I give voice to whistleblowers, experiencers, researchers, and visionaries from around the world, creating a space where people can share their truths without fear of censorship.
What makes my work special is that I’m not just an interviewer—I’m in the trenches with my guests. I’ve had my own experiences with energy phenomena, possible entity attachments, and spiritual warfare. I’ve done over 1,900 episodes, and I still approach every one like it’s life or death—because for a lot of people in this community, it is.
Right now, I’m expanding the brand beyond YouTube and audio platforms. I recently launched a backup YouTube channel after my original was taken down, and I’ve been building a presence on Rumble, Patreon, and social media to stay uncensored and connected to my audience. I’m also working on launching a spin-off show focused solely on psychic readings and metaphysical support, with a strong community angle.
Long-term, I want to build my own independent media network for fringe voices and truth seekers. We’re living in wild times, and people are starving for authenticity. I’m here to give it to them raw—no fluff, no filters, and no fear.
I also grew up listening to and was inspired by the Great Art Bell from Coast to Coast AM And i structure my show kind of like he did in a way where he always had on a different interesting guest. And you never knew what the next day was going to bring, which is the case for my show. One day i could be talking about ufo’s and secret space programs, the next day the illuminati and the day after that bigfoot
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Relentless Curiosity
From day one, I’ve always questioned the narrative. Whether it was about aliens, consciousness, or what really goes on behind closed doors, I never took the surface answer as truth. That curiosity became my compass. My advice? Don’t suppress your questions—follow them. Let your curiosity pull you deeper, even if it takes you off the beaten path.
Consistency
I’ve put out over 1,900 podcast episodes—and that didn’t happen by accident. Even on days when I was drained, broke, or dealing with spiritual attacks, I kept showing up. Consistency is underrated, but it’s everything. If you want to build something real, keep showing up—even when it’s hard, even when no one’s clapping.
Being Unapologetically Authentic
I never tried to fit into the polished media mold. I’m raw, real, and I ask the questions others won’t. That authenticity created deep trust with my audience. If you’re starting out, stop trying to be someone else. Own your vibe, speak your truth, and let the right people find you.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m always open to partnering with people who are walking the path with purpose—truth seekers, content creators, researchers, experiencers, healers, artists, tech wizards, astrologers, psychics, you name it. If you’re tapped into the fringe, if you’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, or if you have a story the world needs to hear, I want to connect.
I’m especially interested in collaborations that bring value to the awakening community—whether it’s co-hosting shows, building new platforms, sharing resources, or cross-promoting each other’s work. I’m also building something bigger behind the scenes—a possible independent network for uncensored truth—and I’m looking for folks who want to build with me from the ground up.
If you’re feeling that spark, hit me up. The best way to connect is through my email, at typicalskeptic1@gmail.com or on Instagram @kalilrobert
