Meet Robyn Baker

We recently connected with Robyn Baker and have shared our conversation below.

Robyn , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
When they asked me to fill out a questionnaire, I soon realized I have an experience with every single item listed. Like the insurance commercial, “We know a thing or two, because we’ve seen a thing or two.”

Or, for myself, I know a thing or two, because I have lived a thing or two… I don’t wear this as a badge, I wear this as awareness. When we start at the bottom, we can only go up.

I grew up in dysfunction, and experienced trauma at a young age. Living with PTSD, almost my entire life, but I wouldn’t realize that until many years later, and how much havoc that it would create in my lifetime. We all have something we have to overcome from childhood, but the role that it plays within our minds, can tell a different story.

Due to my mental illness, I would make many bad decisions in life. I lived a very depressed & anxious life, despite the smile on the outside. This caused me havoc in ways of relationships, and how I felt about myself. I was miserable.

FF to age 38 where I started to learn about myself, about my mind, and how sick, I truly was. I decided to share most of this journey on social media, raw, and real. I soon realized; I was not alone. Along my journey I learned to speak to myself with love and care. I learned the power of the law of attraction and a positive mindset. I became very spiritual with meditations, and crystals.

Once I could see the changes in myself, I knew that I would continue to share this with others, and to help heal others. Offering tools to women, or men that they could use in everyday life.
All of the work I was putting in, I knew that if they would put in the work, too, they could also be free from a mind of anxiety, anger, worry, or sadness.

Healing others and helping others became my passion, I am now a spiritual life coach and I stand for inner peace and constant growth!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
In 2020, while we were all locked in our homes, I partnered with Crunchi, and I started to learn, I learned about my personal care products, and the toxic chemicals that were in them, and that snowballed. What was a skin transformation, turned whole life transformation. Reading ingredient labels empowered me, and I didn’t stop there. I love to share this information with others! I am always here to talk about greenwashing, #safeswaps, and how to save the planet.

This snowballed into my personal development journey, which inspired a new business opportunity of running my own brick and mortar metahphyscial supply shop! From the online world, to the local community. I LOVE to connect and find our vibe tribe! Our services include a free reiki clinic every 2nd Saturday, monthly mediumship, or tarot card readings, crystal education, and more. ZenDen is a small gift shop with an ocean breeze in the heart of Port Royal, SC that specializes in crystals, sage, incense, unique jewlery, essential oils, local honey and all things holistic happiness!

Connecting with our community and being a place for them to learn, heal, and grow, is one of my biggest joys every day!
I learn right along with them, and continue to better myself because of it. Together, we stronger.

We look forward to meeting you, too!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Personal development played a great role in my healing, and transforming myself from what was, to what is. Education about how my mind, my body, and my soul – played together, or the fact that it wasn’t.
Rooting my traumas, and growing through them vs hiding and running away from it all.

The more you can lean in to something, the more growth you will see. The more you are uncomfortable, the more growth you will see. I am uncomfortable writing this! But, I lean into it. A lot of times we become consumed by the “bad” when, if you look around, there is so much to be grateful for.

Lead with a grateful, and helping heart, and the rest will come to you.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
I wouldn’t say one book, exactly. There were so many! Gabrielle Bernstein is absolutely amazing! Inky Johnson was a part to my early work – I listed to him on YouTube, it was something about that moment he experienced, and understanding how dark that would be. But, to rise up, and make change – that is what making an impact is all about. Some of the nuggets I have gained along the way:

We are all self made, but only the successful admit it.

Doing isn’t difficult, it is the deciding that is.

The opposite of anxiety isnt peace, the opposite of anxiety is trust.
Peace is the fruit of trust.

Success is scheduled.
In order to be successful in anything we do, we must push ourselves for more, we must be consistent, we must perservere, no matter what life throws our way.
