God

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I was born in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. I moved to USA in 1996. I was born in 1977 and grow up with all sort of animals including many wild species.

In 1997 volunteered at the Coney Island Aquarium. Then worked for the Wild Life Conservation Society at the Central Park Zoo and Prospect Park Zoo.
In 2001 became a Professional Dog Groomer. In 2003 converted from a W-2 to an independent contractor (as a dog groomer).

I live in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY and in 2014 opened the neighborhood’s very first Self Dog Wash, called, Dog Wash N’ Go. Additionally we offered dog daycare and full service grooming salon. In 2016 opened my second shop. In 2018 I opened my third shop. In 2020 I opened HomeDoggy on 7th Ave btw Carroll and President st. And in February of this year we opened HomeDoggy South Slope location.

I am on track to start a HomeDoggy in the State of Rhode Island in the next couple of months and continue my journey..

Homedoggy is different than most dog grooming salons. I graduated top in class and I have invested all these years to increase my knowledge and the art of Grooming and the Care of the health of all dogs and cats that we care for. I have high standards and expectations for regarding my work and all HD staff. I only hire people with excellent work ethics and good principles and integrity. That’s why, all of our positive reviews are quality and service based.

My other money making passion is in Real estate. But that’s a different story.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I am an excellent dog groomer and quite knowledgeable on all dog related areas. Including Dog, psychology and behavior.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My spiritual mentor, Pastor Greg Russo. He has helped me tremendously to mature both emotionally and spiritually.
