Meet Ronnie Jones

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ronnie Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ronnie, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

There was a time I went mute, silent. I was trying to figure life out. I endured a lot of pain. Physically, Mentally & Spiritually. The only thing that gave me strength was the ability to create. Music has always been a part of me. From age 5 to present. Ive sang on stage when I was 6 & 7, played drums in church bands, played Tuba, Sousaphone, Drums/Percussion from 6th Grade to 12th Grade. Becoming a music producer, to an Audio Engineer. If I couldn’t create then I became self destructive. My mom passed when I was 3. I hear about all the things she did while she was here. She was a choir director, singer, teacher, Army Veteran and a neighborhood hero. I use the thought of her as motivation to push through as if she is watching me. Over the years I found myself following some of the same footsteps. I went to Job Corp and became a certified facility maintenance tech, joined the military and served 6 years active duty with 2 tours in Iraq totaling 27 months in a war zone and also a humanitarian mission in Haiti. Got out and went to College and Studied Recording Arts & Music Business, later graduating from SAE Institute and obtaining my Associates in Audio Technology. Immediately After I started my business MBMG, I found my purpose. From 2014 to present day Ive managed to help 100s of people. From making music, to giving people a platform to express themselves, to disaster relief to mentoring and the list goes on. Basically Ive been treating people the way I wish I was treated when I was growing up. I didn’t really have anyone who believed in me and to push me. I had to find that intestinal fortitude on my own. I knew there were people out there like me, so I wanted to become a beacon of hope so they would know everything was going to be ok. That’s all I ever wanted to be told was that everything would be ok. So my purpose is solely helping those that need help. I recently started a Nonprofit organization called A New Breed-Veterans Coalition. We are a group of veterans coming together to help the community through hard time. Just to put more emphasis on my true purpose.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I offer two key elements that underscore my contributions. Firstly, I oversee MBMG/TheStudio LLC, and secondly, I founded A New Breed-Veterans Coalition, a non-profit organization.

MBMG (MoneyBoi Music Group) encompasses a broad spectrum of production services, including music production, film, podcasting, and more. TheStudio, a division within this business, specializes in venue rental, offering spaces for private events such as baby showers, birthday parties, family reunions, and other gatherings.

A New Breed-Veterans Coalition (ANBVC) is my non-profit organization, dedicated to providing veterans from all branches of the military with opportunities to continue serving their communities after their military careers. We are currently developing four essential programs: Essential Needs, Transitional Living, Disaster Relief, and Christmas Assistance.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Military Career
My military career has been instrumental in developing my leadership skills and ability to structure. The discipline and rigor of military life instilled in me a strong foundation for leading with confidence and precision.

2. College Education
College helped me master my crafts, transforming my self-taught knowledge into a more reliable and polished resource. It enhanced my proficiency and allowed me to become a trusted expert in my fields. Despite having graduated 11 years ago, I am continually developing new skills, driven by an insatiable curiosity and commitment to personal growth.

3. Entrepreneurial Spirit
The combination of my military and college experiences forged a formidable entrepreneur within me. I have successfully carved out a name for myself and my brand. My services and image continue to expand, reflecting my unwavering determination and visionary approach. I possess the spirit of a juggernaut, relentlessly pushing forward and embracing new challenges.

In essence, my journey is marked by a blend of disciplined leadership, academic refinement, and entrepreneurial vigor, all of which contribute to my ongoing success and evolution.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

The ability to control my emotions. A powerful skill that enhanced various aspects of my life. From improving decision-making and interpersonal relationships to increasing resilience and professional success.
