Meet Rosalia Fiske

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rosalia Fiske. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rosalia below.

Hi Rosalia, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My father. His transparency, honesty and care he put into his clients was so natural. He would speak to them like a friend. Because of him I can tell when any profession is in it for their innate passion or just for the money. The contrast is clear.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am licensed aesthetician for almost 20 years. In my practice, I focus on addressing life’s moments and the emotions they carry, rather than merely correcting lines and imperfections. We are living in an era of intense scrutiny and comparison, making it a crucial to approach each treatment with a deep understanding of its psychological impacts. I aim to provide therapies that respect and reflect the individual’s personal story, enhancing not just their appearance but their overall wellbeing. I opened my studio January 7th of this year and it has been a wonderful crash course of all my strengths and weaknesses safe to say my strengths are in the treatment room and my weakness have been hired, social media, website development etc. This has confirmed to me I’m on the right path.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup in my adolescence. My mother would give me her free gifts with purchase skincare from Lancome, Clinique etc and always loved watching her get ready for bed with all of her potions. I actually was in dentistry before aesthetics and that little voice about beauty school wouldn’t go away. 2008 was rough even though I was gainfully employed it was tough to watch others lose their livelihoods especially when it came to health insurance, dental was the first to go. I noticed my friends in beauty were doing pretty well and they told me their clientele were still coming to feel human. My environment at work got tougher by the day those days. In an already apprehensive natured patient world I was used to dealing with the vulnerable from the neck up I knew it was time to move on and at least enjoy myself and broaden my knowledge on skincare which I already loved. You really have to listen to the little voice I haven’t heard it since I completed beauty school another sign I did the right thing. You’ll never know until you go for it.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

I pulled the trigger and invested into my own space for business. I almost gave up when I was looking at space that was just about 350 square feet and the realtor looked me in the eyes without budging “$4600 a month” this was a blow I really thought I have to work for corporate America and work privately on the weekends I guess. Then a friend let me know about this new space uptown from my home and I just went for it. The price and location was right and I noticed throughout my life whenever I’m about to give up a miracle comes through just have to act on it. That’s where I’ve improved I don’t think Rosalia ten years ago would’ve went for it but I’m glad she didn’t I would’ve made so many mistakes and did not have the experience I have now that helped me out out so many fires the past three months. Win or lose you always learn.
