Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Rosaly with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic definitely comes from my parents. My parents are both Filipino immigrants who worked tirelessly to provide for my siblings and I. They both never missed a day of work and on the same note, I never missed a day of school. Seeing their hard work, made me want to work hard for myself as well. At one point, I was working three jobs during college to pay for anything I needed and to pay my tuition. Once I became a fulltime educator, I worked tirelessly to provide the best education possible for my students. I’ve dedicated so much time and spent a lot of my own money to make learning in the classroom the best experience for everyone involved. Today, I definitely feel like I have a balance between rest and work. Now that I have started a business, I show up with the same hard work and dedication I have carried throughout my entire life. What has motivated me throughout all of these endeavors in my life are my values in learning, expansion, authenticity, and compassion for myself and others.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Rosaly Didonna. I am a full-time educator. Currently, I teach reading and writing to 3rd and 4th graders. Last summer in 2024, I created The Purifying Place. I work as a Spiritual Healer and Soul Alignment Coach. The most exciting part of creating my own business is to see and hear about the transformations my clients experience during and after coaching with me. It is so special and exciting to see their fulfillment and know that I had a part in it. Similar to in the classroom with my elementary students, I aim to empower and educate my coaching clients so that they can make the most soul-aligned decisions for themselves. When I come from a place of my own authenticity and alignment with the divine, I naturally empower others to do the same. I believe if we all lived in alignment with who we truly are, the world would be a more beautiful and peaceful place!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are perseverance, integrity, and resourcefulness. Perseverance is so important, because it got me to where I am today. I could not have arrived to where I am today if I had given up. Even after failure, choose to learn from your mistakes and consciously make the decision to keep on going. Integrity is something I reflect on often. I think of the person I am, the actions I take, and what I put out into the world. Is this a reflection of who I would like to be? I have a commitment to myself to do what I know is right, especially for myself. I really believe when we live in alignment with who we truly are, naturally, we have gifts to share with the world that will change the world for the better. Lastly, resourcefulness is something I think is so fun. I love thinking outside of the box on how to create things and make things happen. I never allowed not having enough money to stop me from creating what I wanted to create. Where there is a will, there is a way! I also love that this naturally reflects a state of gratitude (another REALLY important quality). I make the most with what I have and from there, I create more for myself and others.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Teachers, coaches, counselors, trainers, and whoever I was/am learning from at the moment! Looking back at my life, I see how everything has been a lesson learned. Along the way, I have been blessed to receive so much wisdom from friends, family and professionals/experts. In the past, I may have read some books, watched free videos or listened to podcasts to gain knowledge to help me along my path. Now, I have the privilege and resources to really invest in myself and what I would like to create. I do not take that for granted at all! I love that I get to have so much help from experts in their fields to help me with whatever aspect of my life I need help with. In the past, I prided myself on doing everything by myself. Now, I know better and learn from those smarter and further along than me. It has made a huge difference in my life, and I’ve made more progress than I could have ever made alone.
