Meet Rose Garcia

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rose Garcia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Rose , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I believe my strong work ethic came from being involved in team sports at a young age and throughout my adolescences. I strongly believe that instilled accountability, execution, and a desire to get things done effectively. I carry that into my daily even now as an adult. I feel that also contributed to overcoming hurdles in life, like beating cancer.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a real estate professional through and through. Assisting all from first time home buyers to the savvy real estate investor. In my 20+ years in this business I have not grown weary of it. I absolutely love helping people and assisting them in these life changing transactions. I love to serve. It’s truly my calling. I have contributed to many organizations throughout the community in forms of donating monetarily or with time such as hosting events pro bono. I am set to host Equality Fashion Week which takes place May 18th,

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I feel three skills or qualities that have greatly impacted my journey would be determination, hard work, and honestly good old fashioned conversational skills. I feel in a highly digital world the act of conversation and talking is getting lost. In my business I am a huge advocate of picking up the phone and calling or setting up a meet. There are so many things that can get misconstrued or not interpreted in the way it was meant over text or email. I strongly feel that talking and conversation is the most effective way to do business, Determination is a given. Never give up and go after what you want! If you combine determination with hard work, all is possible. Cliche, but a true proven recipe for success.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
I recently “beat” Stage 3c Ovarian cancer. I was diagnosed Jan 2023 with a late stage almost terminal diagnosis. I promised myself if I got passed this I wouldn’t take life for granted and do all of the things. By July 2023 (6 months later) I was cancer free. Although I still have treatments every three weeks to keep the cancer away (Mvasi Immunotherapy) I feel as if I have more life, more energy, more purpose, and more drive! My cancer journey was a blessing in disguise as its brought much needed perspective. I have a grand appreciation for everything life has to offer. I take absolutely nothing for granted.
