Meet Rosetta Greer

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rosetta Greer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Rosetta, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
I embody these principles in my mind (and in my actions) every where I go: 1. I am rare and unique to be my truest self. 2. Set the tone by connecting with others through kindness and understanding. 3. Whenever I speak – speak irrefutable truths from a place of love and integrity.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a Thought Leader, Truth Seeker, Joy Lover, and Voice of Reasoning. I enjoy assisting humans in solving problems in their personal or professional life. From my 7 plus years of coaching in the entrepreneurial and nonprofit community, I have found that my greatest asset is my ability to see beyond the now. I have this sixth-sense skill set that allows me to calculate the direction of one’s personal or professional path based off their current circumstance and perception of it. Having this level of insight allows me to coach my clients and community in a way that liberates them from personal or professional inhibitions and blockages. In a nutshell, the truth sets them free. My clients remind me of how I have found a way to adequately communicate irrefutable truth to them that creates high-level personal and professional growth. It’s really interesting seeing how much this ability has allowed me to do what I love – helping others achieve desired results for their personal or professional journey.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, having knowledge of self, honoring the truth in my thoughts and actions, and being clear in my message has been the most impactful in my personal and professional journey. My advice to individuals in the early stages of their success is: say what you mean and mean what you say. Once you learn to honor your truth, invest in someone who’s done what you’re trying to do and be teachable.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I have had so many people play a part in my overall personal and professional development, but my failures have been most helpful in helping me overcome challenges and develop the skills, qualities, and knowledge I needed to be who I am today. While I could list many people that are amazing and wonderful in my space, none of them had to walk the fine lines of implementing those skills, qualities, or knowledge in my every day life. I had to fail over and over in order to gain success. Every great failure lead to a greater success. Guess what – the journey continues and I know that more failure is on the way because I am constantly expanding my mind and becoming a better version of who I was yesterday. There is so much more to learn and so many things to get wrong in order to be right.
