Meet Rosie Daniel

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rosie Daniel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rosie below.

Hi Rosie, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose after working a job where I was making the right moves to move forward. Once giving the opportunity to start my own business after a shoulder injury I self taught myself to what I had been experiences with my scalp. Growing up in Mississippi with a single mother working in the cotton gin, raising 4 children me being the only girl I quickly learned the importance of my appearances and partially my bald spot in the top of my head. I was always told it was a nerve spot, because we couldn’t afford specialists doctors visits, so we were never told nor educated about alopecia. It was not until my daughter Aariona suffered from Areata Alopecia when she was in 1st grade. I self educated myself on alopecia and what I was experiencing with my scalp. I knew that if I had the opportunity to every start a business I was going to start a business that was going to benefit me and my family first then Ill share it with the World, and that’s how Lulit’s Hair Essence became my true purpose in July of 2019. I started my business in my home here in Evansdale Iowa a very small town were not everyone looks like me, which is an obstacle that I was determined not to let hinder me from becoming a successful Small Business Black Women owner. I knew from the very fist time I’d completed my first batch of oils, I had something special that was going change the World. I am currently helping cancer survivors, alopecia, eczema, men, women and children and even babies with my all natural products they are safe for anyone to use.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I love what I do as far as building LuLit’s Hair Essence. I am self educated on hair loss and what natural products can do. being that I also suffer from alopecia I find it better to relate to my customers because I am a customer of LuLit’s Hair Essence also. I have gotten injections different treatment plan, but none of that worked for me is the reason I stepped out on faith an started my own all natural hair restoration brand that anyone can use my products. I love being active in my community and schools helping and educating others on my journey and how can start their own brand if they want to. I believe it is very important to give back and to reach back and help those in need of uplifting as well.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My qualities would have to be: Being that I was raised in a family where we didn’t or don’t have generation wealth where I can reach back and ask for funds from a family members, I’ve had to work for it all. I knew this business was going to be challenging, but I can’t give up. Building Lulit’s Hair Essence is main goal, it’s my all besides my family, so that I could generate my own wealth. Nothing has been giving to me, I’ve work hard for everything I have accomplished in life. I am doing and have done all the hard work, because the Big Reward from all of this is “My Motivation” to keep my head up, keep pushing and learning by staying focused and driven at all times.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

My mother the late Rosie Pearl Claybon taught me to cherish the small things in life, just because the nest has more bigger and better things doesn’t make them no better than me. The one thing she instilled in me and my brothers was love to love and treat everyone with respect and courtesy. I have learned that customer service is something is taught you have to be able to able and relate to people to successful in life. My mother taught us how to value the small things and build your surroundings with the bigger things in life you want. Meaning you be in control of your own destiny and what happens in your life.
