Meet Royce Morgan

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Royce Morgan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Royce, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
When you’ve been dealt the short end of the stick so much in life, over times with those pieces you piece together your own stick that you aren’t sharing with anyone! I wholeheartedly believe, no matter what cards I’m dealt or if things aren’t going my way I’m only being groomed for greater and grateful for the lesson it teaches me. I consider it my Sharpening!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I started in this journey doing the whole acting/modeling thing with show business aspirations! Around 2014 the Social Media world started to open up from me sharing inspiration and just liking to make people laugh, then around 2017 I went through a storm and was diagnosed with depression/anxiety and really felt trapped and became transparent with my struggles and that’s when a whole new world opened for me. It was a time I wasn’t looked to be known, seen, rich or famous but just being REAL. I dealt with that and from that came amazing opportunity in radio, hosting, speaking engagements and just letting people know it’s okay not to be okay, but having faith and patience to get to the other side. The Power Of Being Yourself is what’s opened the doors for me and awarded me many of opportunities and the power of connection.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A foundation of love and foundation from my parents (RIP Dad, I miss you daily), Learning from the pain in my life and not falling victim to it, giving myself permission to feel however I may feel and having faith I will come out the other side better. I would tell people we’re all sharing in a Human Experience at the same time, please give yourself grace and be patient with yourself. All you have is YOU so treat yourself like someone you love!

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My Family, Close Circle and just knowing to trust myself and the discernment I may gather. Going against this has costed me great things, so now I trust what I get and it serves me amazingly in life!
