We were lucky to catch up with Rudament The Producer recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Rudament , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
That’s a crazy first question.
I grew up in an interesting neighborhood.
My mother didn’t drive, so I had to walk to school.
Some of the schools took me as much as an hour and 45 mins to get there on foot but it was what I had to do.
I’m pretty sure this shaped my character for resilience.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
The cool thing about what I do; I take people in who lack in confidence or resources.
I build them up into their persona by improving their knowledge of self.
Self improvement builds confidence.
When you are confident, you can start to attract the life you’ve always wanted to live.
It’s a belief thing. A mentality.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
3 things that have helped me most:
1. It costs to be offended.
When you allow someone to offend you, you always lose somewhere. Even if you don’t see it right away. Even if you never see it.
So don’t allow your ego to get so big that you allow others to offend you.
2. Whatever you do well in life can really expand for you if you connect the 2, or 3, or 4 things you do well.
3. Always pay the piper.
If there’s anything someone ever did for you, never forget about them.
Reciprocity is very important with the right attitude and spirit behind the gesture.
Look out for those who look out for you.
If you are reading this and starting out on your journey, I encourage you to get with someone who inspires you. Someone who has a life you would like to experience for yourself your own way, and learn as much as you can from them.
Treat what you learn like eating fish.
Not everything they say or do will be something that will be perfect for you, so you take the meat and throw away the bones.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
The number one obstacle I face is finding an Artist who can afford ALL my services.
The hardest thing is convincing someone you do great work when they’ve heard of you; they just don’t know it because other producers got the credit for things you were a part of.
Seeing that the way I was doing things were not yeilding the results I needed, I’ve revamped. I have changed the way I do business. I have revamped my paperwork and my process.
Now I have a lot less headaches.
I’ve recently been coaching Artists from all over the world and doing Artist Development in search of a Super Star 🌟 . Is it you? Tap in with me!
