We recently connected with Ryan Jerome and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Over the course of several years, my confidence has undergone a profound transformation. It has been a journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and embracing the unique qualities that define who I am. Instead of comparing myself to others, I have learned to appreciate my flaws as gifts. I have surrounded myself with individuals who genuinely uplift and inspire me. I have shed the weight of toxic relationships, allowing me to cultivate the best version of myself. This process has significantly contributed to my personal growth and ability to answer interview questions with depth and sincerity.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
In the creative realm, I am dedicated to the perpetual growth and constant refinement of my skills. Throughout my life, I have been privileged to engage in thrilling projects, from serving as the esteemed editor-in-chief of a renowned celebrity magazine to establishing robust public relations campaigns for esteemed fashion brands and corporate enterprises. As the new year ushers in, I am embarking on a remarkable journey of expansion in Europe. Specifically, I am diligently working on the establishment of state-of-the-art production studios while actively seeking collaborations with esteemed brands for the production of exceptional content alongside my talented team. While creativity has always been my forte, I am now committed to honing the business aspect of my life with unwavering passion.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The first attribute I value is the mindset of always looking ahead and embracing the present. The second skill I uphold is relentlessly honing my craft without ever giving up. Lastly, I ground myself in gratitude, acknowledging and appreciating every milestone I have achieved thus far in my life.
What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
Establishing one’s reputation from scratch in a new city has always been one of the most challenging experiences I’ve faced. Starting over and striving to sustain it is nothing new to me. In today’s fast-paced world, where everything is just a click away and attention spans are limited, it is necessary for things to progress faster than intended. To overcome these obstacles, I willingly position myself at the forefront and confront problems head-on, regardless of how they may arise. By doing so, I have become resilient, and nothing shocks me anymore when I confront it head-on.
