Meet Ryan ‘King Vee’ Stull

We were lucky to catch up with Ryan ‘King Vee’ Stull recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ryan ‘King, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Developing confidence and self esteem came naturally but it was a gradual process, I remember when I was in school especially the early years I was very very very shy, almost said no words, now as I started to move towards the end of middle school by this time I got into a couple scuffles and won, that builds confidence, being biracial during that time came with some trials, I had to defend myself often. As I started to get into high school I sorta shelled up again because it was a new environment and since I went to a private school in middle school, there were significantly more students, I think my success in sports, and having girls flirt with me helped build my confidence and self esteem then, fast forward to my adult life now, it’s my listeners, it’s my supporters, they reinforce me, my faith through god reinforces my confidence and self esteem, plus you don’t have to worry about others acceptance if you’re just being you. Only god can judge you.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Ryan Stull, I go by King Vee, I’m 34 and have a fiancé and 5 beautiful children. I make music for the elevated minds, those in tune with their spiritual side. I manifest for myself through the listener and allow them a platform to manifest for themselves, if you know you know, we can talk about that more later. But in other words I make what people would consider conscious music, with elements of Hip-Hop, Pop & R&B. Music isn’t payin the bills so I sell cars during the day, kinda like your modern day Batman just not as exciting. Hahaha, My goals are to gain a big enough platform that I can influence positive thinking through music, there’s too much negativity in music anymore and if I can share real experiences and perspectives but in a positive way that’s what fulfills me, I plan to one day do this on a much larger scale and taking over the entertainment space in entirety, Movies, TV, Books, Children’s entertainment, Podcasts, even Media News Outlets. Why? Because media entertainment is the most powerful tool of influence and the current Hollywood platform has made it very clear they are Yin, someone has to be Yang.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

One major quality is not caring what others thought about me or my passions or hobbies, an area of knowledge would probably be my extensive vocabulary, and willingness to research and learn new words. And I’ll give you two skills; my creativity and wild mind allows me to tell stories in very interesting and clever ways, I like to challenge myself & the second would be my ability to deliver the raps, anyone can write rhymes truth be told, but not everyone has the ability to deliver them. My suggestion to anyone new in the game would be to focus on who you are and replicate that through your music no matter what a hater says, and be open to criticism but be able to identify the difference between constructive criticism and a hater

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

If you begin feeling overwhelmed, do yourself a favor and turn your phone off, enjoy nature, take a break and disconnect, then revisit. We don’t realize the impact social media and others successes affect us and our mentality, success is not going to reach everyone and success is not going to reach everyone when they think it should, be patient and focus on the road ahead of you, comparison is the thief of joy.
