Meet Ryan Mossman

We recently connected with Ryan Mossman and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ryan, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

I come from a small town in the heart of Northumberland, Amble. I’ve lived here my whole life and always felt a little different from everyone else. I’m still not 100% sure why I feel like that but I do think it’s to do with wanting to make the most out of the time I have on this earth. Since a young age I’ve watched YouTubers like the sidemen, syndicate & Joe sugg. They inspired me to start creating. I tried YouTube at the age of 14-15. As you can imagine that spread around the school and I felt like I was force to delete the channel. Then a few years later covid hit. Causing everyone to be off work, staying inside & most importantly online. I seen an opportunity when I seen TikTok was becoming popular. I was confident I could get 1000 followers within a month. I did it within 5 days. I then said to myself 10k in 2 months. I believe I done it within a month. At this point people I had went to school with had seen the videos. Some of which I called friends. These people made it extremely difficult for me to want to create videos. However I thought if I got to 100k by the end of the lockdown then they might just accept it. Over the months I posted 3-4 times a day. Going to work as a bricklayer and coming home and filming content. It was basically an unpaid job. I’d go on tiktok live and they’d be there taking the mick or “bullying” if you want to call it that. They had parties and would ring me on no caller ID at 3/4am when I had work the next day, saying they’d “bray me” if I continued to make videos. After all of this I wasn’t sure who I could trust, I built up this anxiety that I had never had before and tbh it’s still there to this day. Although the whispering, name calling and harassment from these people has slowed down / stopped. I do tend to get hate from strangers. I think if I didn’t get the hate I did from these people in my town then I wouldn’t be strong enough to deal with hate online. The hate online is nothing compared to the anxiety these people gave me. I’ve learned to delete/block and ignore anyone who gives me hate. It’s allowed to to be 100% my authentic self. Post the content I want to post & because if it I’ve gained a following of 212k followers on my tiktok @ryan.mossman. It’s allowed me to meet some incredible people, work with some amazing brands & attend some insanely cool events. I believe if you’re passionate about something, work hard at it & don’t let outsider tell you that you can’t because this is your life, you have to live it. I dealt with haters and my family not supporting me at the start but now I’m here, making a second income from tiktok & about to start a new business helping other content creators earn money & grow their account through tiktok live. (R.M. Connect Live Agency – in partnership with Bee Social). If anyone reading this is going through hate you are not alone.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m actually a full time bricklayer however today I’m going to talk about my real passion and what I’m about to start doing full time, TikTok.
My account @ryan.mossman was started WAY back on May 5th 2020. Since then I’ve grown to 212k followers. I’ve been on ITV’s Secret crush & work with some incredible brands.
I think the best thing about being on TikTok is it allows you to be yourself. You don’t have to fake anything, you can video yourself eating a sandwich and go viral. I don’t like people telling me I can and can’t do something and I feel like tiktok give me the freedom to express myself the way I want to and I mean the events aren’t to bad haha.
I’ve took my experience on tiktok, mainly tiktok live and partnered with Bee Social to create my very own TikTok Live Agency, R.M. Connect. We specialise in everything TikTok Live. Acting like a middleman between creator and TikTok. If a creator has an issue on Live then we can flag this with TikTok and help them out. We can also arrange Live battles as well as way more. Some of our creators have started doing this full time due to the money there is to be made. Now’s a great time to start TikTok. Get in touch through my Instagram @ryan.mossman if you’d like to join

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My most important qualities throughout my tiktok journey has to be my work ethic. I definitely wasn’t a natural infront of the camera, infact I wasn’t that entertaining but I kept working and like they say practice makes perfect.
I now know what works on tiktok & TikTok live. I believe I understand the algorithm enough to help people grow and see results in a matter of days.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m looking for creators with less the 1M followers to join my TikTok Live agency, the creators we are looking for must be able to go live at least 3 times a week & be willing to take any advice they are given. We set our creators challenges and some have prizes to keep them motivated. If you’re interested and want to know more, Message me on Instagram @ryan.mossman

Where do you get your work ethic from?

We’ve all heard the phrase “work hard, play hard,” but where does our work ethic
