Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ryia Cynel. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Ryia with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
my work ethic was instilled in me by my family who always encouraged me to pursue my passion for hairstyling with dedication and integrity. I’ve never been the one to compare myself to others so having the skill came naturally.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
There are many exciting things about the work that I do but one of the most EXCITING things is my ability to be creative and to experience a true transformation of styling my clients. I love that my clients allow me to express my creativity on their hair. My styles give my clients the confidence boost they need. My brand is all about personalized care and innovative styles that bring out the best in each person. Also, as we approach the new year we’re excited to announce a new website launch , new products and future coming up events. We can’t wait to share.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Dedication is key cause sticking with my craft for eight years shows real commitment. Creativity comes in strong to cause you gotta bring fresh styles and ideas to the table Lastly adaptability trends change and you got to keep up with what’s new to stay relevant. Advice is you don’t start at the top. The beauty industry is forever growing. There’s always something new to learn. So just be open to growing and continue learning. Don’t give up an continue to push forward.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
This past year my biggest area of growth has been learning to stay focused by creating boundaries and not let distractions or certain things sidetrack me. I’ve been working on maintaining my focus on what’s important and not allowing anything to distract me from my goals and plans.
