Meet Sabrina Dieurestil

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sabrina Dieurestil. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sabrina , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I built my confidence by attending various classes and learning different techniques that shaped me into the hairstylist I am today. Initially, I struggled with self-assurance in my work, but with practice, I’ve learned to look at my creations and say, “You did a great job.” This isn’t about being cocky; it’s about recognizing my growth.

As I acknowledge my progress, I also identify areas for improvement. My self-esteem grew when I stopped comparing myself to others and focused on my own journey. I realized that being true to myself is the best path forward. Sometimes, this meant unfollowing certain people to eliminate the temptation of comparison. Ultimately, embracing my individuality has been key to my self-acceptance.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Currently, I hold multiple licenses as a hairstylist, insurance agent, and realtor, but my main focus is being a hairstylist. I find joy in encouraging and uplifting everyone who sits in my chair. My hair company, Uplifting Crowns, embodies this mission. With God’s guidance, I built this business to inspire people to chase their dreams and become the person they are meant to be. I want everyone to know that it’s never too late to pursue their passions.

I draw inspiration from Ephesians 2:10, which reminds us that we are all masterpieces. My goal is to reach as many people as possible, and one of my favorite aspects of my work is wig making. I plan to support individuals dealing with hair loss by providing them with beautiful wigs that help restore their confidence and sense of self. This mission drives me to make a positive impact in the lives of others every day.

I strive to be a source of light and positivity for my clients, ensuring that even on their down days, they can look in the mirror and say, “I look good.” Each wig is not just a product; it comes with a personal note of encouragement meant to uplift the recipient. I want them to feel valued and inspired, reminding them of their beauty and strength. This small gesture carries a big impact, reinforcing my commitment to support and encourage everyone I have the privilege to serve.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I believe the three most impactful qualities on my journey have been a commitment to lifelong learning, openness to constructive criticism, and prioritizing my faith in God.

1. **Never Stop Learning:** Learning is fundamental. You can never know too much, and anyone—regardless of their experience—can teach you something new. Stay open to different techniques and approaches to enhance your skills. Take classes, watch tutorials, and engage with fellow professionals.

2. **Embrace Constructive Criticism:** Don’t shy away from feedback. Being receptive to critiques is essential for growth, as they can help you become a better version of yourself. View critiques as opportunities to improve rather than personal attacks. Ask for feedback and learn how to incorporate it into your work.

3. **Prioritize Your Faith:** Keeping God at the center of your journey is vital. Make sure that your work glorifies Him. Remember that He gave you the skills you possess. On challenging days when you feel like giving up, lean on your faith, as it will provide the strength and motivation to keep going.

For those early in their journeys, I encourage you to embrace these qualities wholeheartedly. Stay curious, remain humble, and let your passion guide you forward.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

I can’t pinpoint just one person who has been most helpful in my journey; rather, I believe that everyone in my life has played a significant role in shaping the woman I am today.

1. **My Dad:** He instilled in me a strong work ethic and the importance of integrity. He taught me to work hard, even when motivation is low, and to persevere through challenges. His lessons have been foundational in my professional journey.

2. **My Spiritual Mother:** She has been instrumental in helping me focus and stay on track. By encouraging me to listen to the voice of God, she has prevented me from underestimating my own skills. Her support has significantly boosted my self-esteem and confidence, pushing me to elevate my work to the next level.

3. **My Friends:** They provide constant motivation and encouragement, challenging me to do more and be better. Their unwavering support has helped me overcome various obstacles and has been crucial in my growth.

Each of these individuals has contributed to my development, and I am incredibly grateful for the collective impact they have had on my life and career.
