We recently connected with Sadie Garza and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sadie, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I was a theater kid and did theater in high school at PSJA North High School with the legendary Mr Zepeda. I attribute so much of my self confidence to the small time I had there and was fully emersed in theater and self expression. I feel able to stand up and speak without any fear. of judgemnets which is hard because these days everone is judging. Theater led me to doing Youtube videos very early in Youtube history around 2009. The support I had and the people I was able to reach helped boost me in the direction of confidence I have now. I think despite all of that I still have moment were I feel not so confident or insecure just like any other human living within this human experience so I do alot of inner work. Taking the time to understand where there insecurities are coming from and sitting with myself. Despite having alot of people who may not agree with my business I have so much support from so many directions that it helps me keep moving forward without fear of anyone who does judge me.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Brujalogy is a small business that I created to provide Spiritual services, products, and Tarot sessions to those in my community. Growing up in a community and family where there were root workers and spiritual workers who provided services to people. My Great Grandmother was one of these providers and she provided readings, cleansings (limpias), and healing (curandismo). I knew from a very young age that I had gifts that would eventually also align me with that path. In 2007 I decided to open the online doors to Brujalogy and have welcomed almost 1000 orders on our Etsy store. Although we have been in business for 6 years we are still finding more ways to get our brand out to the community and people who have interest in our services. We have tons of fixed candles and spiritual workings that can be custom-fixed for just about any situation: love, money. law issues, protection, blessings, opening roads, unhexing, breakup, untying, and domination just to name a few. We also provide herbs, roots, spiritual products, books and so much more!
In 2024 we are looking to expand the website and be more active with our clients and supporters.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think the most important part of my journey was following my intuition. Very early on in my journey, I realized that people were not all in agreeance with this path so it made me scared to live within my path. I didn’t truly find the strength to live within this spiritual path until after the passing of my late mother. I realized that life is short and I was wasting it worried about what everyone else thought. I work closely with spirit so there was a lot of working within myself and understanding the spirit world, my spiritual court, and what strengths and weaknesses I have within the spiritual realm. I think people get into what I do for a lot of the wrong reasons but for me, I know that what I do is my path and purpose. It’s what I’ve been prepared for my entire life so that has driven my journey forward.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
I have recently felt like there are new roads that spirit has been calling me on. Despite being a Tarot reader myself, I have never allowed anyone else to read Tarot for me. My understanding of spiritual workers and using one is, you stick with the same person always. Because of this, I was always very apprehensive about allowing anyone else to do what I already can do for myself. I needed direction but also only wanted someone I felt was aligned with spirit and also with helping me in my spiritual growth. In August I received a reading from another wonderful Bruja Yamil and this experience has helped me get some idea of what my spirits and ancestors want from me.
I was inspired to stop allowing my insecurities to stop me from the things I’m being called to be. I also have begun the path of Espiritismo and gained more connection and understanding of spirit, ancestors, and guides.
Of course with all of this, its helped me to provide stronger and more well-curated spiritual workings and reading for those who petion me and my services.
