Meet Saketh Ranga

We recently connected with Saketh Ranga and have shared our conversation below.

Saketh, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by staying curious about the world around me. Most of my ideas come from the things I do, the people I meet, and the situations I experience. My first feature film, Kismet of Life, which is in post-production right now, grew from small moments and emotions I collected over time, which eventually formed a full story.

Inspiration still comes from unexpected places. I once really liked a girl I never spoke to, and that feeling sparked a story in my head. It might even become my next film. For me, creativity is about paying attention to life and letting those sparks guide the stories I tell.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I make films, I travel, and everything else is in between. My first feature film, Kismet of Life, is in post production. It tells the story of a woman who, burned out and searching for meaning, leaves her stable job to pursue a forgotten passion. As she rebuilds her life, she is pulled into a quiet storm of love, doubt, and something completely unexpected. Seeing this story come to life has reminded me why I love storytelling so much.

I also run Pixoditor, a photography and videography studio, and Our Thunder, a platform that helps businesses build their digital presence and connect with people through storytelling. I work full time as a software developer which might seem completely different, but it keeps me balanced. Code teaches me structure, creativity teaches me to break it, and somewhere in between new ideas happen. Right now I am focused on finishing Kismet of Life, growing Our Thunder to support more creators and brands, and chasing the sparks that turn everyday moments into unforgettable stories.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Curiosity. I have always been drawn to the world around me — the people, the moments, the stories that hide in plain sight. Curiosity sparks ideas, opens doors, and keeps you chasing the stories that matter. If you are just starting out, pay attention to the world, ask questions, and let yourself be inspired by the small, ordinary moments.

Adaptability. I work across filmmaking, photography, digital marketing, and software development, and every day teaches me something new. Being able to adjust, try new things, and step into the unknown is what allows ideas to grow. Experiment, explore beyond your comfort zone, and embrace every challenge as an opportunity.

Persistence. Creativity alone will not take you across the finish line. The magic happens when you push through doubt, setbacks, and long hours to see a project come alive. Stay consistent, learn from failure, and keep moving forward.

Curiosity, adaptability, and persistence have been my guiding lights. If you nurture these, the sparks you chase today can turn into the stories, projects, and ideas that shape your future.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

If I only had a decade left, I would spend it chasing the things that make life feel alive. I would make films, travel, meet people, and collect moments which is something I am doing right now because you never know when, but one day for sure, you will be gone. I would also help other creators and build platforms like Our Thunder to give them opportunities to grow. Above all, I would focus on the small human moments, the laughter, the connections, the fleeting experiences, because those are what make life unforgettable.
