Meet Samantha Beckton

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Samantha Beckton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Samantha, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

For me, purpose wasn’t something I sat down one day and decided on—it was something that grew out of my own experiences. Movement has always been my life—I was a professional dancer, an acrobat, a teacher—and when injuries and chronic pain hit, I had to learn firsthand how limiting and discouraging that can be.

Working through my own recovery showed me two things: first, how much misinformation there is about aging, pain, and mobility; and second, how powerful it is when you actually give people simple, effective tools to take care of their bodies.
My purpose really revealed itself in that gap—between what people are told and what’s actually possible.

Helping people regain mobility, reduce pain, and get back to the activities they love isn’t just a career for me—it’s the natural extension of everything I’ve lived, studied, and experienced. It feels less like something I ‘chose’ and more like something I couldn’t not do.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I like to say I didn’t really choose this work—my body chose it for me. Movement has always been the center of my life. I grew up performing—dance, aerial arts, even fire performing—and then life threw me some curveballs: injuries, chronic pain, and the kind of ‘take it easy’ advice that makes you feel like you’re already broken. That led me into massage therapy, then over a decade in physical therapy, and eventually into creating my own business, Knot Now Therapeutics.

What I do now is help active adults—especially those over 40 who are starting to feel the effects of aging—learn smart, simple, and effective strategies to relieve pain, improve mobility, and actually enjoy the activities they love without being chained to pills, injections, or endless appointments. What makes it special is that it’s not theory—I’ve lived it. I know what it feels like when your body won’t cooperate, and I know what it takes to get it back on your side.

Right now, I’m focused on growing my Pain-Free Living Program, which combines therapeutic rolling, mobility, strengthening, and lifestyle strategies into a system that works. I also run a membership community where we do weekly live classes, challenges, and workshops so people can stay consistent and supported. And in 2026, I’ll be hosting my first in-person ‘Revitalize & Renew’ Therapeutic Rolling & Self-Care Retreat in Costa Rica—which I’m beyond excited about.
At the end of the day, my brand is about empowerment. I want people to know you don’t have to hand your body over to the medical model and hope for the best. You can take ownership, you can improve your mobility, and you can feel good in your body again—at any age

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

“Looking back, I’d say three things have carried me through this journey:

Resilience. Injuries, career pivots, losing my studio during COVID—all of those could’ve been endings. Instead, I treated them as redirections. My advice: don’t expect the path to be straight. When things don’t go as planned, ask, ‘What is this teaching me? Where can I grow from here?’ That is everything.

Curiosity & Continuous Learning. I’ve been in this field for 25+ years, and I’m still learning—from anatomy and movement science to online marketing and community building. The willingness to stay curious keeps you ahead of the curve. For anyone starting out: invest in education, but also stay open to learning from your own clients, your mistakes, and your lived experience.

Connection & Communication. Whether I’m working with a client in pain or building my online community, it comes down to trust. People don’t just want information—they want to feel seen and understood. My advice: practice listening as much as you talk. Build real relationships. That’s what turns work into purpose.

If I had to sum it up, I’d say this: stay resilient, stay curious, and stay connected. Those three skills will carry you through just about anything.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

Honestly, the biggest challenge I’m facing right now isn’t with my clients—it’s with visibility. I know my system works. I see it every day when people who thought surgery was their only option start moving freely again. The challenge is getting that message in front of the people who need it most in a world where social media rewards trends, not substance.

As a solo entrepreneur, I wear all the hats—coach, content creator, marketer, tech support—which can feel overwhelming. To overcome this, I’ve been focusing on consistency and clarity. I’m building my YouTube channel, growing my online community, and creating events like the Pain-Free Living Experience to give people a real taste of what’s possible. I’ve also leaned into partnerships and referrals, because word of mouth from people who’ve seen results is more powerful than any ad campaign.

It’s still a work in progress, but I believe persistence and authenticity will cut through the noise. My goal is simple: make sure the people who are quietly struggling with pain know there’s another option besides giving up or going under the knife
