Meet Samantha Bousquet

We recently connected with Samantha Bousquet and have shared our conversation below.

Samantha, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

Honestly, I keep my creativity alive with two things: research and reaction. I’m always scrolling through social media — not just for fun, but to see what’s trending and to think about how I can adapt it to my little corner of TikTok. I love putting my own spin on things, and figuring out how to make it feel true to me and my audience.

The other side of it is reaction. My audience truly fuels me. When a video really lands and people are commenting like, ‘Omg, I need this!’ or ‘This is so me,’ it gives me that spark to keep creating. It’s like I’ve hit the nail on the head, and I immediately want to keep feeding them more of what they’re loving. That back-and-forth with my followers keeps the ideas flowing and makes the whole process so much fun for me.

At the end of the day, I really just love what I do on social media. Creating content is my happy place, and getting to turn that into a space where people feel inspired or entertained is what keeps me coming back to create every day.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a shopping and lifestyle content creator, sharing cute (but affordable) finds, the trends I’m loving, and my favorite local spots and events — basically, all the little things that make everyday life feel more fun and exciting.

I started creating about three years ago with the goal of building a personal brand online. From the beginning, I dreamed of working with brands I’ve loved forever and building a community of people who share my interests. More than anything, I’ve been focused on building a brand that can fully sustain the life I want.

The most exciting part of this journey has been watching it all evolve. When I first started, it was just me sharing what I loved and hoping someone out there would connect with it. Now, seeing my content resonate with people, spark conversations, and even create real excitement around products and brands… it’s a really empowering feeling.

I’m nowhere near finished, and that’s what makes this so fun. Every day brings a new chance to grow, connect, and create, and I’m excited to keep building upon everything I’ve accomplished so far.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are dedication, flexibility, and thick skin.

First, dedication is everything. I’ve posted consistently — every single day, multiple times a day — for about three years, and that commitment has been the foundation of my growth. If you want to see results, you have to be willing to show up even on the days when your views are low or you’re not feeling inspired. My advice for new creators is to set a schedule and stick to it, because consistency builds both momentum and confidence.

Second, flexibility is key. Social media changes constantly — trends shift, algorithms evolve, and sometimes the content you thought would pop just doesn’t. I’ve learned to adapt quickly, whether that means leaning into a type of video that’s performing well or putting my own twist on current trends. For anyone starting out, practice paying attention to what resonates with your audience and be open to experimenting until you find your sweet spot.

And finally, you need thick skin. People online can be mean — that’s no secret. There will always be negative comments or moments where you feel discouraged. Learning to let it roll off your back is essential if you want to stick with this long‑term. My best advice here is to focus on your community—the people who show up for you, engage with you, and love what you create. When you lock in on the positive and keep your eyes on your bigger goals, the negativity starts to feel a lot smaller.

At the end of the day, if you really want this, you’ll be amazed at the mode you go into. When you combine consistency, adaptability, and resilience, you give yourself the best shot at turning content creation into something sustainable and rewarding.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

In the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been really finding my voice and confidence as a creator. When I first started, I was experimenting with so many different types of content just to see what would stick. Over the last year, I’ve leaned into what feels most authentic to me — sharing beauty, fashion, and local experiences that make everyday life feel a little more exciting.

I’ve also grown a lot in understanding the business side of content creation, from working with brands to navigating algorithms. Every step has made me feel more confident that I’m building something real and sustainable, and it’s exciting to see that growth in action.
