Meet Samantha Eller

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Samantha Eller. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Samantha below.

Samantha, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I discovered my purpose through capturing the moments of friends and family. The way their eyes light up when they see their children glowing in photographs is what fuels my passion. Children grow and change so quickly—whether it’s their tiny toes, a sweet smile with a missing tooth, or the sparkle in their eyes when Momma tells a joke. Freezing those fleeting moments in time is truly something special.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I specialize in capturing bright, vibrant, and authentic family photos. Whether it’s celebrating your child’s milestone, updating your family portraits, or creating holiday memories, I love being part of your journey. Building lasting relationships with families is my passion—I don’t want to be just a one-time photographer, I want to be your life photographer. I want to watch your little ones grow and celebrate every milestone with you.

Becoming a mother has shown me just how quickly time passes and how fast our children grow. That’s why photography is so meaningful—it freezes time, allowing you and your children to revisit those special moments again and again.

When you arrive at a session, it’s all about fun! We’ll snuggle, tickle the kids, and even play a little chase. My goal is to create joyful, genuine images that reflect the love and laughter in your family.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three skills that guide me through my journey are patience, building bonds, and investing in myself.

Patience – Children are just being children. They want to laugh, play, and explore—not simply stand still and smile. Embracing that joy is what makes the magic happen.

Building family bonds – My goal is to grow with families, creating lasting connections as I capture their children’s milestones year after year.

Investing in yourself – The world is constantly changing. To stand out, you have to keep learning, growing, and adapting to new trends.

If you’re just starting this journey, be patient with yourself. There is an audience for every style of work. Keep pushing forward, keep striving, and remember—when you invest in yourself, others will want to invest in you too.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My clients have truly been the most helpful in overcoming challenges. I’ve learned to listen to feedback, invest in myself through research and education, and never be afraid of change.

Change can feel uncomfortable, but real growth only happens when we step outside of our comfort zone.
