We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Samantha Rosenbaum a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Samantha, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I came to realize in my life that every twist and turn has guided me towards my true purpose and ultimate fulfillment, helping others step into their power and find peace and connection within their mind and body. However, I only realized this, after I too learned how to do this for myself. On my life journey, it became easy to see that the universe constantly orchestrates events for my highest good and it is when I surrender to this universal flow I can live and operate at my highest potential.
From an early age, I yearned to contribute meaning to the world. I have a strong passion for helping others and that drew me to pursue a degree in hospitality. It became my goal to help create a comfortable environment for people to feel safe and at ease wherever they might go. Upon graduating, I began working at The Ritz-Carlton. In my hotel training I learned about Mystique, a term which means a fascinating aura of mystery, awe and power surrounding something. When a guest arrives at the Ritz-Carlton they are met with an embodiment of all the senses. As you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles, pleasing music, aromas of the candles and lemon infused water. Everything is orchestrated to leave you with a feeling of surprise and delight with what life has to offer.
As I was presented with this feeling, I began to find more of this wonder in the world around me and I felt an urge for more of it. This inner pull called me over to the islands of Hawaii, somewhere I always dreamt of living. As I followed this same energy, there were people, places, and things that showed up along the way reminding me that I was on the right track. I experienced firsthand what happens when in connection with the flow of creation. In Maui, this same majestic ebb and flow of life lives in its purest form – from waterfalls to the migration of the whales, everything is in tune with the universal rhythm.
As my time in Maui drew to a close, it was time for me to return to Florida. I wondered what would happen next. As anxiety drew in, I knew I had to go back to the source. I looked again for where the energy was calling and was presented with alternative healing options to work through my own layers by going inward. Once I started exploring my inner landscape through modalities such as hypnotherapy, energy work, and somatic healing, I quickly felt a profound shift in my inner and outer world. The same power that I discovered for myself; I now knew was my gift was to share with others.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My business, Grounded Visions Wellness, is a safe and loving environment where I offer a holistic approach to wellness. This means that I recognize the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in achieving overall well-being and lasting happiness. My practice is centered around the belief that everyone is already whole and possess the innate ability to heal and thrive.
Through modalities such as hypnotherapy, energy work, somatic healing, sound therapy, breathwork, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and coaching, I provide a comprehensive and integrative pathway to wellbeing. My goal is to empower others to tap into their inner resources and unlock their full potential for healing and personal growth.
I specialize in areas such as anxiety, depression, and spiritual growth and development. I offer personalized support that is always tailored toward the unique needs of each person that I work with. Whether it’s addressing mental health challenges or embarking on a journey of discovery and spiritual awakening, I am dedicated to guiding clients towards balance and joy in their lives. I offer a supportive environment where people walk away feeling empowered and aligned with themselves and the universe.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A quality that is important to me is an attitude of open-mindedness. This offers me a change in perspective and the ability to embrace opportunities I did not know existed. At certain times on my journey when I stood at a wall not sure where to go next, it is my ability to ask the question, “What else is possible?” And “How can it get any better than this?” that opens many doors. I find that these questions have the power to unlock a multitude of new answers that are waiting to be called upon. When I invite the universe in to show me the way, there are many more solutions than my limited mind can provide. I encourage others to begin to ask these same questions to the universe and notice what shows up!
My interpersonal skills are also a key factor in my success. Throughout my life path I have the privilege to get to know people from all walks of life. This helps me to understand and have compassion for everyone. We all share a common thread, the desire to love and be loved. I often ask myself as I meet each person, “What can I learn from this person?” and “How can I best be of service?” These questions support my belief that every connection serves a purpose in the evolution of mankind.
A piece of knowledge that is impactful to me is the power of the subconscious mind. This understanding helps me to realize that we are being influenced by our deeply ingrained beliefs and patterns. It is by going inward and uncovering these deep-rooted thoughts that we awaken to the incredible potential within us to shift outdated information and manifest a new reality. I encourage everyone to discover this for yourself, to take some time to get to know the inner workings of your mind and fully experience your highest potential.
Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
The book Inward by Yung Pueblo is a favorite of mine. It is a short collection of poetry exploring the movement from self-love to unconditional love, the power of letting go, and the wisdom that comes when we get to know ourselves. I found this book at a time in my life when I felt overwhelmed with challenges and uncertainty. Inward serves as a guiding light, reminding me that amidst any chaos, the path to healing and transformation begins by going in and through myself.
One of the most inspiring nuggets of wisdom from Inward I found was the line “True power is living the realization that you are your own healer, hero, and leader.” These words resonate deeply with me as for so long in my life I walked around looking to everyone else to fix me, save me, and help me. This book in addition to my own inward journey help me to realize that the one I am always looking for is me. Once I step into my own inner strength, connection, and wisdom, I can take ownership for my life and create positive change. The book teaches me the transformative power of self-reflection, self-love, and self-empowerment, serving as a guide towards a deeper understanding of myself and my place in the world. I highly recommend Inward to everyone on the path of self-discovery and enlightenment.
