Meet Sandi Triffon

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sandi Triffon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sandi below.

Hi Sandi, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My love for flowers and making things aesthetically pleasing is where my optimism comes from.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I have always been extremely creative! During covid, I decided that I wanted to start a business, something with flowers. Exploring options, I stumbled upon other container gardeners across the country. They were all creating beautiful flower arrangements in pots and window boxes and posting their work on social media. It was then that I discovered an entire organization of container gardeners called Digging in. I contacted the founder, joined the organization and started House Of Blossoms. Whether it is a commercial or residential client it is more than looking at the vessel that holds the plants and flowers. It’s the whole picture! The exterior of the property and the style. Talking with clients about their vision and colors they love or hate, many factors go into making the decisions on materials. I also love to style an area, placement and scale are everything when it comes to making the outdoor space an extension of your living space. I want to leave clients loving their container gardens!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

My mother was an avid gardener and she always loved plants and flowers, that was something we shared together. I have always loved being outdoors and gardening. It’s cathartic! Also my first career as a stylist and working with hair color is kind of like arranging flowers as far as selecting color combinations and textures.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is someone who would love to have a beautiful outdoor space and needs someone to create that for them.
