Meet Sandra Huynh Jones

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sandra Huynh Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Sandra, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my upbringing. Growing up, I was raised by a single mother who worked hard to provide for our family. Watching her balance everything and still show up every day taught me the importance of perseverance, responsibility, and gratitude. We didn’t always have a lot, but that made me value every opportunity and understand that success comes from consistency and effort. My family’s resilience and the sacrifices my mom made are what drive me to give my best in everything I do.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My name is Sandra Huynh, born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, shoutout to Funky Town! Professionally, I started my business “Pho Wid Me” about five months ago. It’s a unique fusion of Vietnamese and Mexican cuisine, specializing in Birria Pho and eggrolls.

The idea came to me one day while eating Ramen Birria with my son. I started wondering what it would be like to blend Birria with Pho, a traditional Vietnamese soup I grew up with. I later found out that it had already been done, but that didn’t stop me from experimenting in my own kitchen. I began making it for my family last year, and it quickly became a monthly favorite in our home.

Things really took off when I was invited to participate in a multicultural event, which gave me the opportunity to share my Vietnamese roots and connect with people from all backgrounds. From there, “Pho Wid Me” grew into what it is today a fun and flavorful pop-up shop experience.

For the past two months, I’ve been working with the Plughub Organization, which has brought amazing exposure and helped us grow our following. Right now, I’m truly enjoying the journey and trusting God’s timing for whatever comes next.

Ultimately, my goal with Pho Wid Me is to expand people’s palates while representing my culture and creativity through food. I give all the glory to God for how far we’ve come and I’m excited to see where He takes us next!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I’d say the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are faith, consistency, and adaptability.

Faith has been my foundation through everything. Starting a business isn’t easy there are moments of doubt, exhaustion, and uncertainty but keeping my faith in God has given me strength and direction. It reminds me that every “no” or setback is just redirection toward something better.

Consistency has also been key. When I first started Pho Wid Me, there were times I didn’t get the turnout I hoped for, but I kept showing up setting up my booth, promoting my brand, and staying active on social media. Over time, that consistency built trust, visibility, and momentum.

Lastly, adaptability has played a big role. Every event, crowd, and kitchen setup is different. I’ve learned to adjust quickly whether that’s tweaking recipes, managing unexpected challenges, or finding new ways to connect with customers.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, absolutely! I’m always open to partnering and collaborating with others, especially those who specialize in international foods or cultural fusion cuisines. I’d love to one day host or co-host a multi-cultural food event where different backgrounds and flavors come together in one space.

I feel like a lot of folks in Texas tend to stick to what they’re familiar with like burgers, hotdogs, and BBQ, which are all amazing, but I want to help expand those taste buds and show people there’s a whole world of flavor out there.

If you’re a chef, vendor, or creative who shares that same passion for culture, food, and community, I’d love to connect and collaborate. You can reach out to me through Instagram @PhoWidMe let’s make something special happen together!
