As Sandra Mayoral, founder of LAGIRLSTYLE, I draw my resilience from a combination of personal experiences and foundational values instilled by my family. Growing up in San Salvador, El Salvador, I was raised by my grandmother, Paula Duran, and educated by my aunt, Isaura Catalina Duran, a professor at the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA). Their teachings emphasized hard work, the importance of education, treating others with kindness, paying it forward, and balancing work with play.

These principles have been my guiding lights, helping me navigate challenges and pursue my goals with determination. They taught me that empathy is crucial for understanding and connecting with others, and that positive thinking can transform obstacles into opportunities.
