We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sandrikas Mays a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sandrikas, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
Despite many naysayers and/or haters, honestly they keep me motivated, they keep me on point and on top of things. They have actually became my Free Marketing Team therefore they just don’t know the hating, naysayers, and doubters caused my numbers to increase without utilizing paid marketing from ads on social media
Its like the more people doubt you, well me the more aggressive I become with my business. They definitely push me to my limits and full potential.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I started my business in 2009 assisting individuals that were interested in getting into the medical field to become CNAs.
So I started a low cost Prep Course to assist individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to pass the Fl Cna Exam as a E3 Challenger to become Licensed.
Once my students passed the exam I also assisted them with job assistance and some have moved ip in their careers of the medical field and have became Nurses and Healthcare Business Owners.
Til this date Ive trained thousands of individuals all around Fl to pass the exam and Ive assisted Hundreds in all other states with the startup of becoming a Healthcare Business Entrepreneur.
As of today, Im adding Mentorship to my Healthcare Business Clients to not only assist them with Licensing but to assist them with Business Credit and Grants to take their businesses to the next level.
I currently assist with Homecare Agency Startups, Group Homes, Independent Living, Staffing Agency, Mobile Lab, and also CNA Prep Business Startup as well.
The Healthcare Industry is a recession proof business that will allow individuals to give back to their community while making a profitable amount of money with a small investment
Im currently preparing for a Healthcare Extravaganza in September so stay tuned.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
3 qualities that are a must: Staying Consistent, Persistent, and to take your feelings out of your business.
These 3 things I feel is very valuable.
Those starting off the best advice I can tell you if you want it go get it, don’t allow anyone to talk you out of your dreams, and excuses are for the weak and the weak gets eaten.
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
The one challenge Im facing in my business is choosing my target audience.
I had to realize everyone is not ready for this type of business and its ok to fire your client.
Choosing your target audience is Key.
