We recently connected with Santiago De Freitas and have shared our conversation below.

Santiago, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose comes from the moment people began to value what I did and that it was a source of information about the Denver Nuggets in Spanish, something that is not common to find.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Big greetings to you who are reading this. My name is Santiago De Freitas and I am an extreme fan of the Denver Nuggets, the NBA team from the city of Denver. For 4 years I have been talking about the team on social networks informing and opining about the team for the entire Spanish-speaking community. In addition to that, I also do streams on a platform called Playback where we are +600 members in which you can watch games not only of NBA, but also of various sports for free. My passion for this team arose about 5/6 years ago but I’ve been doing this since 2021 until today, and despite being from Venezuela, I dream of seeing my team live one day.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The most important things on this path I think have been my connection with the public, making jokes while informing for the team. Another great part of the success I have had has also been constancy, since many will believe that it is an easy job but you have to be aware of events day by day. For people who are starting I would recommend that they enjoy it and not see it as something so serious or a job, talking about your team can generate debate but always say what you think without disrespecting anyone.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

Absolutely everything. My parents have always supported me in everything and everything I have achieved with my medium Nuggets Community, allowing me and giving me freedom in addition to giving me education and all the necessary resources.
