We recently connected with Sarah Cucuzzella and have shared our conversation below.
Sarah, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Moving from Australia to New York nine years ago taught me the importance of resilience and self-belief. My confidence grew through my work as a personal trainer, where helping clients reach their goals also pushed me to reach my own. Every challenge I faced—whether in fitness or in navigating a new city—reinforced that confidence is built by setting goals, showing up consistently, and celebrating every bit of progress along the way. Now, with Aussie FIT, I’m proud to help others find that same inner strength.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I help people build confidence and strength through personalized training—whether in-person, online, or with accountability coaching. Seeing clients surprise themselves and reach new milestones is what fires me up! I’m expanding to make fitness flexible and accessible, building a supportive, inspiring community where everyone can thrive.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I’ve always known fitness was my path since I joined the gym at 15. Resilience, adaptability, and building strong relationships have been key to my journey. It’s a forever learning experience, and every day is different. My advice to those starting out is to stay patient, embrace new opportunities, and surround yourself with supportive people to keep growing.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
The biggest help has been my own passion and drive, but also living in New York and having mentors who’ve done it before me—and I still have them today. Personal training came naturally, but starting a business was new and intimidating. Battling imposter syndrome and hearing others’ journeys kept me pushing forward.
