Meet Sarah Geer

We were lucky to catch up with Sarah Geer recently and have shared our conversation below.

Sarah, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I feel my purpose came through a combination of different experiences which led me into what I do today. I grew up in a family business that fostered my work ethic and knowledge in different fields. Which then led me to pursue a degree in Entrepreneurship. However, my passion and joy always came from creating and designing. I like to think of myself as an Artist at heart . I always found myself creating something whether artistically or structurally throughout my adolescence.

After completing my degree, I decided not to pursue a career in my family business and go into a field I was always intrigued and fascinated by. I then gained experience in the interior design industry by working for a renowned designer. During this time, I discovered that I found joy in helping clients bring fresh ideas into their homes. As time went on this grew into something more meaningful and intentional for me. I realized that my passion lies in helping people maximize their living spaces and to live intentionally. I found this to be my purpose and started SpaceHaven, a company that empowers people to tell their own story and express their unique style within the walls of their home.

Overall, it seems that I found my purpose by trusting myself, continuing to grow and gain knowledge and experience in a field that originally captured my interest. This allowed me to identify what truly made me happy and fulfilled, and then pursue it with passion and purpose.

Can you tell us about what you do and what your brand is all about?

As the founder of Space Haven, I am passionate about helping people maximize their living spaces and express their unique style within the walls of their home. I like to tell people I am more than just a decorator – I am your creative guide in helping clients create their ideal “SpaceHaven”. My mission is to free people from the constraints of clutter and disorganization, and empower them to tell their own story throughout their home. Whether you need to refresh and revitalize an existing space or you have a brand new home and are not sure where to start. I can help pull it all together with the final touches .

What do you feel is most exciting or special about your work?

For me, the most exciting part of my work is witnessing the transformation of a home. I love guiding clients through the process of creating their ideal space, and seeing the joy and satisfaction on their faces once they’ve achieved it. I also enjoy the creative aspect of interior design – the perfect combination of colors, textures, and styles – which feeds my soul.

Are there any new events, product/service launches or expansion you’d like to tell our readers about?

I am constantly expanding my services to better meet the needs of my clients. Recently, I launched a new virtual design service that allows me to work remotely with clients who may not be able to meet in person. I’m also planning to add new design packages and product offerings in the near future. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from SpaceHaven!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would first like to start off by saying that it’s important to stay true to yourself and pursue what brings you joy and fulfillment, rather than getting caught up in what others may expect of you or what you think you “should” be doing. By prioritizing your own happiness, you’ll be better equipped to stay motivated, focused, and successful in your personal and professional endeavors. Remember to take care of yourself and carve out time for the things that make you happy, whatever they may be

What were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey?

The three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey are:

– Passion: Being passionate about what you do is essential to achieving success. It fuels your motivation, creativity, and perseverance, and helps you overcome any obstacles that may come your way.

– Adaptability: The ability to adapt and be flexible to changing circumstances is crucial in any journey. Being able to pivot when things don’t go as planned helps you stay focused on your goals and maintain your momentum.

– Leadership: Whether you are leading a team or simply leading yourself, having strong leadership skills is critical to achieving your objectives. Being able to inspire and motivate others, communicate effectively, and make tough decisions are all key components of effective leadership.

What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

My advice for those who are early in their journey is to focus on cultivating these qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge. Find ways to tap into your passions and explore new opportunities that allow you to grow and learn. Be willing to adapt to changing circumstances and be open to feedback from others. Seek out leadership opportunities, even in small ways, such as taking on a project or mentoring others. And most importantly, never stop learning and growing, both personally and professionally.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I’m always open to exploring potential partnerships and collaborations. I’m particularly interested in working with individuals or companies that share our passion for interior decorating and improving living spaces. This could include architects, builders, interior designers, realtors, residential photographers, estate sale companies, or other professionals in the industry. If you’re interested in collaborating, please visit my website www.spacehavenllc.com to learn more about my company and how to get in touch.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is someone who is passionate about interior decorating/design and values the importance of creating a comfortable home that reflects their personal style and meets their unique needs. They are open to collaboration and eager to work with our team to bring their vision to life. They have an appreciation for quality work and are willing to invest in their living space. They are clear and communicative in their needs and wants, but also allow for creative input and out-of-the-box solutions. Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who shares similar passion for creating beautiful and functional living spaces, and values the expertise and guidance I bring to the process.
