Meet Sarah Myers

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Myers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sarah, thank you so much for making time for us today. We can’t wait to dive into your story and the lessons you’ve learned along the way, but maybe we can start with something foundational to your success. How have you gone about developing your ability to communicate effectively?

Therapy! I’ve been through a lot of trials in my life, and decided at the age of 27 to seek therapy for myself.

I am now 32 and have been actively attending therapy every week since then! It has helped me communicate, think clearly about every situation, and has improved my mental health tremendously!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am an event planner / coordinator located in Knoxville, TN. I launched my business January 1, 2023.

I have always loved planning and coordinator parties, weddings, or milestone events for my friends and family. I knew I had a creative outlet in that way, so I brought a couple of my girlfriends together and asked them what they thought about me starting my own business, and of course they were all very encouraging.

I hit the ground running and didn’t stop! Since then I have planned / coordinated multiple weddings, baby showers, book signings, birthday parties and more!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Organization, punctuality, and attention to detail!

Without those three skills, it would be difficult to succeed as a coordinator.

Read books or watch a show on how to prioritize / organize; Set alarms on your phone during events to help keep you on track; Always double or triple check your work so that no details, as small as it may seem to you, is missed!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely!

Collaborating builds your business. I love working with locally owned businesses to help us both grow in our area of expertise! Caterers, DJ’s, Photographers, Venues. I am open to collaborate with all!
