Meet Sarah Olivia Lawrence

We recently connected with Sarah Olivia Lawrence and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Sarah Olivia with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

Where do you get your work ethic from?

To be honest, my work ethic stems from my childhood. When I was a little girl, I had to help raise my two sisters after my parents separated when I was about nine years old. I found myself in a situation where I didn’t perceive a choice; I decided to do everything I could to shield my sisters from a lot of dysfunction. It was then that I realized that work ethic could mean keeping the house clean so that when my single mother came home, she wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. Over time, my understanding of work ethic evolved to encompass learning and discerning the difference between over-giving and applying myself effectively. Through those experiences, I realized that when you genuinely care about someone, a strong work ethic comes naturally. That’s why I’ve always aligned my work with meaningful people, places, and experiences.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Tell us more about your business and what you do.

I recently launched a new venture called The Queen Circle LLC, which evolved from my first business, where I exclusively provided intuitive tarot readings. In that role, I helped clients navigate life’s challenges by utilizing my third eye to identify potential traps, cut toxic relationships, and encourage personal growth.

Within The Queen Circle, I’ve partnered with two other instructors to create a holistic school. While I focus on spirituality, my colleagues specialize in financial advising and physical fitness. My vision was to create a space where individuals can address various aspects of life without having to tackle them piecemeal. We offer online courses, personal training from an IFBB pro, and intuitive guidance alongside customized financial planning tools, including calendars, worksheets, and lessons.

Additionally, we foster an online community where we blog and provide life advice from a holistic perspective. Our motto is “Wellness Through Queen Type.” Each participant in our program—whether they join our Instagram or Facebook groups or attend our wellness retreats—selects a crown, which helps us understand their psychology and enhances our ability to assist them effectively. We use the term “Queen” not to limit our focus to women, but to embrace feminine, receptive energy and promote self-love and autonomy for all individuals.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Reflecting on my journey, I believe the three most impactful skills were:

1. Doing what you can with what you have, right where you are. This mindset allows you to begin any endeavor, no matter how big or small. Every titan had to start somewhere. When you view yourself as an equal player in the game, even if you only have five dollars to your name, it creates a mental magic that cannot be taken from you. This perspective enables you to perceive opportunities right where you are.

2. Understanding that who you work with can be more important than the project itself. I learned this lesson through some challenging experiences. Aligning yourself with growth-minded individuals is essential. Never compromise your integrity in exchange for money, status, or anything else; you will thank yourself in the long run. How you climb the tower affects how it feels at the top. Your integrity can accompany you throughout the journey, allowing you to enjoy the process rather than sacrificing your true self for temporary gains. Since nothing is guaranteed, you can always guarantee your integrity.

3. The power of observation. It’s vital to notice how you respond and react during challenging times in your business or personal life. In my experience, having a bird’s-eye view of my own life enables me to adjust and cultivate emotional intelligence while fostering deep patience. I weave the tapestry of my life using emotions like sadness, fear, upset, and shame. I channel these feelings into creative projects and concepts, allowing me to thrive even in difficult times. Although one aspect may seem distant and cold, I know how to nourish my soul. Each project becomes even more meaningful as a result.

For those early in their journey, I encourage you to embrace these qualities. Start where you are, choose your collaborators wisely, and cultivate self-awareness. These practices will not only help you navigate challenges but will also enrich your personal and professional growth.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

What book has played an important role in your development, and what were a few of the most valuable or impactful nuggets of wisdom?

One book that has significantly influenced my journey is The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma. It has been instrumental in my personal, professional, and emotional development. Here are a few of my favorite nuggets of wisdom from the book:

#1. “We minimize our abilities and begin a lifelong process of playing small with our powers, constructing prisons around our strengths.” This insight resonates deeply in today’s world, where we often compare ourselves to others and focus on their highlight reels rather than celebrating our own accomplishments. It’s crucial to recognize our own journeys and how we feel about ourselves throughout the process, rather than getting lost in external comparisons.

#2. “Many of the great geniuses of the world were not appreciated until decades after they died.” This quote profoundly impacted me because it underscores the importance of fueling our own perception of greatness. If we wait for external validation, we may find that it comes too late. It’s essential to believe in our potential and contributions, regardless of immediate recognition.

#3. “We become our associations.” You’ll never have a positive influence in your field or create a fulfilling life if you surround yourself with negative people. This wisdom has been crucial for me, as I’ve learned that the people we associate with can greatly affect how we perceive our projects and influence the growth of our businesses. Choosing to align with positive, growth-minded individuals can transform our perspectives and outcomes.

Overall, The 5 AM Club has encouraged me to embrace my strengths, believe in my potential, and surround myself with uplifting influences, all of which are vital for sustained growth and success.
