Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sasha Henry. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sasha, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
There’s one Thing that I learned on my journey from being my own boss and trying to be the best I can be ! And that is realizing it’s OK to be different from everybody else you don’t have to do what everybody else is doing and if you’re craft is taking a little longer to takeoff, that’s OK too ! I’ve grown to realize that I often used to compare myself to others on my journey of working for myself in my craft . I used to compare myself and ask myself how come I haven’t took off like they have.? But when you really think about it, it’s OK to be different. Why would you wanna be like anybody else? You are your own person you have things that make you unique and I’ve grown to realize that for myself even if I’m the only person doing it
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hey everybody my name is Sasha I’m 22 I have been a content creator for about 3 years now and I am an entrepreneur ! I have my own photography business as well as a jewelry business combined with it all of my profits go towards people in need every piece of jewelry I make goes towards somebody who really needs it and I go out and I make baggies for the homeless .. as for my photography business I like to capture people’s special moments ( Instagram : H3artfeltmedia ) I want people to look at my pictures and be able to relive their moments through them . I’m very crafty. I love a good DIY. And I’m always working on something ! If I’m not doing that, I’m probably vlogging from my YouTube channel : Reallysasha I love being in front of the camera ! Everything that I do is a hobbie that I love and put my time into ! I also work a 9-5 so I’m a pretty busy girl .. my goal in life is to build a homeless shelter and to grow my YouTube community and just do what I love for a living !
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
When it comes down to your journey you really need to sit back and think about what your purpose is .. starting out. It won’t be easy but if you write down why you wanna do this and refer back to it when you’re having a hard times it will definitely get you through. That’s exactly what I did. As for skills figure out what you’re good at and try to make it even better figure out what you can do to enhance it even more learn new things be open about stuff and don’t be scared to try something new or even ask questions .. when I first started everything that I’m doing I was on YouTube trying courses and everything ! Never be afraid to ask questions and open up. There’s nothing wrong with learning. We all start somewhere.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
During my journey of being a content creator as well as an entrepreneur I’ve learned a lot of things on my own but I’d love to have people around me. That’s doing the same thing if not more ! Somebody who is also a entrepreneur and doing the same thing I’m kind of doing I’m also very easy to connect with on social media my Instagram is Rllysasha , YouTube : Reallysasha and lastly, my business page is : @H3artfeltmedia I’m open to more content, creator, friends, as well as entrepreneur friends we can all connect collaborate and learn from each other
