We recently connected with Sasha Stone and have shared our conversation below.
Sasha, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from overcoming many obstacles starting at a young age. Growing up in an abusive, toxic household I had to fend for myself starting at age 10.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I currently teach yoga at a private studio in Fort Collins, Colorado. Just about to fully launch my business Moonstone Wellness Center. I have a home office where I offer Reiki sessions and 1:1 yoga sessions. I also host special events/retreats, curated with live music, meditation, breath work, yoga and Reiki. My personalized events are infused with tips on mindfulness along with Wellness Coaching benefits.
I’m currently in the process of launching my new website, as we speak..
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Developing a good support system within the community
2. Self care, meditation, yoga
3. Receiving therapy, energy work and acupuncture regularly
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Finding folks in my community on a similar path. My therapist, Reiki practitioner and my acupuncturists have been incredibly helpful, supportive and encouraging.
