We were lucky to catch up with Sashell Daniel recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sashell , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I developed resilience from the hardships I went through growing up, throughout my teenage years to date.
From being molested as a child, becoming a teen mom at 15, dropping out of high school twice to even being kicked out of the church. Life has thrown many obstacles at me, and poor life choices also contributed to some of my demise. But thanks be to God, I’ve been able to bounce back and completed up to tertiary education (LLB), secured a really good job at the bank after college, gave birth to my daughter and is now an author, entrepreneur and one who shares the good news of Jesus.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a woman of many hats (lol) I have a youth charity and a women’s ministry that caters to women in all facets of life’s preparation, from becoming wives to business development.
More recently in the past year I’ve been focusing on business. I’m now a full time entrepreneur as a Marketing and Branding Strategist. My company SEMS Businesses and Marketing Consultancy & SEMS Writing Services assist thought leaders, entrepreneurs, public figures, small businesses grow their brand online. We develop their content and manage their brands, it’s a full suite marketing house. We recently started doing ghost writing, book publications and translations in different languages. We provide a full house execution strategy for professionals who desires to produce content, publish their books, build an online presence but do not have the time.
Personally for me I love to help budding entrepreneurs birth their ideas and build their businesses and so my one and one coaching program is designed for that and I’m particularly excited about that because in 2025 and beyond you MUST have multiple streams of income!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My knowledge of Christ, the laws of life and developing grit were my top three looking back on my journey.
To tap into our purpose and become unstoppable in this life we must have know Christ personally and accept Him as our Lord and savior, we must understand the laws of life and take advantage of them and you have to be tough! Or brave ! Because life requires taking risk! Calculated risk! We can’t stay in our comfort zone and do great things .. we must go for the BIG.
