Meet Savannah Garth

We recently connected with Savannah Garth and have shared our conversation below.

Savannah, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
For me, confidence wasn’t something I was born with, it was something I had to build piece by piece while growing a business, raising babies, and figuring out who I was outside of everyone else’s expectations.

Poppy Rose Marketing actually played a huge part in that. When I first started, I was saying “yes” to everything, second-guessing every decision, and constantly wondering if I was “qualified enough” to run a full-service marketing agency. I was a one-woman show trying to look like a team, and the pressure was real.

But there was a moment early on that changed things for me. A client told me, “You made my business feel seen.”
That one line made something click. I realized that the gifts I thought were small, being able to translate someone’s passion into a brand, creating order out of chaos, marketing with empathy, were the exact things people valued most.

My confidence grew from there, not because everything suddenly got easy, but because I showed up for myself over and over again:

I learned to trust my creativity and instincts.

I stopped apologizing for taking up space in the industry I worked hard to earn a place in.

I let myself be proud of balancing motherhood, entrepreneurship, and personal growth, even on the messy days.

The funny thing is, the more I invested in myself, the more my clients trusted me. Confidence snowballed. Every new skill, every project I figured out on my own, every time I pushed through imposter syndrome, it all became proof that I was capable.

Now, I run Poppy Rose Marketing with a grounded confidence that didn’t exist years ago. Not loud, not flashy — but steady. Self-esteem for me came from honoring who I am, building something meaningful from scratch, and choosing to believe in myself even when doubt tried to speak louder.

And that’s the part of my story I hope inspires others:
Confidence isn’t a personality trait, it’s a muscle. You build it by showing up, stretching yourself, failing forward, learning the lesson, and then trying again with your head a little higher than before.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
What began as a one-woman operation at my kitchen table has grown into a full-service marketing company serving businesses across Georgia, Virginia, Texas & hopefully soon in many other states. I work with an incredibly diverse range of clients real estate agents, wellness practices, boutiques, contractors, creatives, and more and that variety is one of the things I love most.

At its core, Poppy Rose Marketing is rooted in storytelling. I’ve always believed that great marketing is less about trends and more about helping people feel seen. I take the passion behind someone’s business and translate it into visuals, words, and strategies that reflect who they are and attract the people they’re meant to serve. That blend of strategy and soul is what makes the agency special. Clients often tell me that working with us feels like having a true partner who cares as much about their business as they do, and that’s exactly the experience I aim to create.

Professionally, I wear many hats brand designer, website developer, social media strategist, SEO specialist, and consultant and I genuinely enjoy switching between them. Every project brings a new challenge and a new opportunity to create something meaningful. As the agency has grown, so has my team, allowing us to take on more work while still delivering the personalized, boutique-level attention we’re known for.

Right now, I’m especially excited about several new directions. We’ve launched marketing consulting and strategy packages designed for business owners who want clarity, direction, and a solid plan but aren’t ready to outsource everything. Poppy Rose Marketing is also undergoing a brand refresh that feels perfectly aligned with where the agency is headed still grounded in our neutral, elevated vibe but evolving with fun, modern touches that reflect our growth. And we’re expanding our educational offerings, creating tools and resources that empower small businesses to take control of their own marketing with confidence.

At the end of the day, what fuels me is helping people grow. Watching a client go from overwhelmed and unsure to confident, consistent, and excited about their brand is the most rewarding part of what I do. It’s a privilege to be part of that transformation, and it’s what keeps me passionate about this work every single day.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
When I look back on my journey, three things stand out as truly foundational to where I am today: adaptability, relationship-building, and a willingness to learn before I felt “ready.” Those qualities shaped not just my business, but the way I show up as a leader, creative, and entrepreneur.

Adaptability was essential because nothing about entrepreneurship is linear. When I started Poppy Rose Marketing, I quickly realized that clients, algorithms, trends, and even my own goals could shift at any moment. Learning to pivot instead of panic changed everything. My advice to anyone starting out is to treat change as a tool instead of a threat. Be flexible, experiment, and give yourself permission to evolve. Your business will grow as you do.

Relationship-building has always been at the heart of my success. My strongest growth has come from genuine connections people referring me because of how I made them feel, not just what I delivered. Marketing can be taught, but the ability to connect, communicate, and care is what creates longevity. For those early in their journey, focus on building trust before you ever worry about building an audience. Show up consistently, do good work, and be someone people enjoy partnering with. It’s the most underrated “marketing strategy” there is.

A willingness to learn before I felt ready might be the biggest one. I didn’t wait to be an expert to get started. I said yes, figured things out, made mistakes, and learned constantly. Every new skill I have today branding, web design, SEO, ads, consulting came from being brave enough to dive in and improve as I went. My advice is simple: don’t hold yourself back waiting for perfect timing or perfect knowledge. Start with what you know, stay curious, and allow yourself to grow into the business you’re building.

Those three qualities shaped the foundation of Poppy Rose Marketing, and they’re the same things I encourage others to embrace: stay adaptable, nurture your relationships, and take action even when it feels scary. The combination of those things creates momentum and momentum is often the difference between dreaming about something and actually building it.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who is passionate about what they do and cares deeply about how their business shows up in the world. They don’t have to be experts in marketing that’s why they come to me but they value collaboration, trust the process, and are excited to build something meaningful together.

The best partnerships I’ve had are with clients who are open-minded, communicative, and willing to dream a little bigger. They’re not looking for “quick fixes” or trendy, surface-level marketing. They want long-term growth, intentional storytelling, and a brand that feels like them. They appreciate strategy just as much as they appreciate creativity, and they understand that great marketing is a long term partnership, not just a service.
