Meet Scarlet Fanene Rn, Bsn, Fnp-s

We recently connected with Scarlet Fanene Rn, Bsn, Fnp-s and have shared our conversation below.

Scarlet, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my husband. Not a lot of people know my back story, but he was injured in Iraq in 2007 and came home as a double amputee. Despite that life-changing event, he refused to let his circumstances define him. His courage and determination have taught me that setbacks aren’t the end—they’re just opportunities for an even greater comeback. His ability to find strength in adversity inspires me every day. Watching him turn obstacles into stepping stones has shown me that true resilience comes from facing challenges head-on, believing in yourself, and never giving up. His example has become the foundation for my own strength and perseverance.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a Registered Nurse currently advancing my education to become a Nurse Practitioner. In June 2024, I opened my own practice, NaturalGlo Aesthetics, in Temecula, CA. I specialize in non-invasive procedures including Botox, fillers, biostimulants, and comprehensive skincare treatments.

My brand is founded on the principles of empowerment, education, and genuine care. I am passionate about creating an environment that is both safe and supportive—a space where you can learn about your skin, explore your options for anti-aging treatments, and ultimately feel good in your own skin. Whether you’re looking to refine your features or simply maintain a healthy glow, my mission is to provide an experience that nurtures both your outer beauty and inner well-being.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Throughout my journey, three qualities have been truly transformative: continuous education, self-confidence, and hands-on experience.

Continuous Education:
Staying up-to-date with the latest research and innovations is absolutely essential. Without ongoing education, I wouldn’t be able to offer my patients the most innovative, evidence-based care. Constant learning ensures that every treatment plan I create is informed by the newest techniques and best practices in the field.

Self-Confidence:
Believing in myself and my abilities has been a cornerstone of my practice. It allows me to approach challenges head-on and trust that I can deliver the best possible care, even in complex situations.

Hands-On Experience:
Practical experience has been invaluable in refining my skills and deepening my understanding of patient care. Working directly with patients has taught me the nuances that aren’t always covered in textbooks—lessons in empathy, adaptability, and the art of personalized care.

If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be to seize every opportunity for training and continuous learning. Always remember that you are deserving of your place in this industry, and let compassion guide every step of your journey.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

Without a solid educational foundation, I wouldn’t have the confidence I have in my craft or in this industry. I’m incredibly fortunate to have partnered with Moxie when opening my practice—they provided essential support in navigating the legal requirements, helped me secure a medical director, and ensured I remained compliant with all regulations.
