Sean, thanks for taking the time to share your lessons with our community today. So, let’s jump right in – one of the most essential skills for unlocking our potential is self-discipline. Where does your self-discipline come from?

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
I teach a workshop called Capitalizing On Strengths. This workshop teaches that you do not have weaknesses, but strengths that you do not use regularly. Everything can be a strength if honed and cultivated. The top five strengths you use all the time are called “Signature Strengths” and what you rely on the most. I teach that it’s better to go all in on all of your strengths since you have no weaknesses, just strengths you don’t use regularly. I’ve seen this play out during my 20 years of Active Duty in the U.S. Air Force.
