Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sean Patrick Bryan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sean Patrick , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
By always being my true self and not really worrying about what people say or think. I can only control me. I’m not able to control outside factors or noise. It’s a humble type of arrogance, ha ha. I just have always been the loudest one in the room and willing to take that role upon myself.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I retired from law enforcement, but during my time working as a police officer, the crew from the show “COPS” rode with me while I was a patrol officer. They were able to obtain enough footage of me working to edit and make a segment in one of the episodes of COPS. After seeing my episode of COPS on TV, I knew one day I wanted to pursue a career in acting. After my retirement from law enforcement is when I started to pursue acting.
I had the amazing opportunity to be cast on Netflix’s season 2 of The Mole. That’s probably how most people may recognize me. After “The Mole” opportunities started to open up.
I also costarred on a couple episodes of The Pitt, which is on HBO/Max.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
So I will pick 1 quality, 1 skill and 1 area of knowledge.
Quality: being myself at all times
Skill: Easy to adapt to any situation thrown at me
Area of knowledge: knowing myself, what my limitations are and what I know I can achieve at.
Advice: Don’t be afraid of rejection. It’s gonna happen. You’re gonna be told “NO” over and over again. Fuck that. You know you better than anybody.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Put the damn phone down and disconnect.
Our stress comes from information provided to us, which is usually though our phone in some format.
Put the phone away. Take a nap, watch a movie or do a Lego set. Some shit where you can let your phone not be a part of your life for a couple hours.
