We were lucky to catch up with Segun Abraham recently and have shared our conversation below.
Segun , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
From the society and day to day life.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
It’s amazing being an artist. Knowing that what you imagine u can bring it to life and no limit to what you can imagine.
As an artist.
My work is focused on human identity and how we connect with nature. I am inspired by Africa traditional motifs.
I use the Africa traditional motifs because every motifs have it own unique meaning and design. So as child growing up seeing the beautiful Scarification on my mom body then I ask her what do they mean. She enlighten me about them.
They are the identity of her tribe and the clown she came from.
In Oka Akoko in Ondo state Nigeria. So I leant more about them and others to improve on my paintings today.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three quality skills,
One I have love art, automobile engineering, and acting.
I have love drawing and like painting cars that’s were my love for automobile came imagining myself in those pictures I painted it beautiful.
So do what you love and never give up no limit in what u can do.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My loving family and Mr DAMILOLA OPEDUN God has use him to build and develop me in my skills .
