Meet Seneca Little

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Seneca Little. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Seneca, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose while discovering my passion. All my life I been passionate about being an entrepreneur. While developing my entrepreneur skills, I learned that my purpose is people, and I enjoy the way I feel when I make other people feel good about themselves. I believe your purpose should be wrapped up in something other than yourself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I was born and raised by a single mother on the southside of Chicago, IL. What sparked my interest to be an entrepreneur was my uncle, who owned a record store. It was cool to me to know that someone who looked like me could own something.
When I was 12 years old, we moved to MN homeless (just me, my mom and brother) in hopes of a new start. Through that process I still found myself leaning more into the entrepreneurship. I been an entrepreneur my whole adult life but in 2018, I launched my parenting company, Senergy Co. with hopes to create a successful entity under that umbrella.

My brand is Senergy Company and it’s a pairing company to other entities that I own. One of the major brands that I am proud of as today under that umbrella is Waddup Dough.

Waddup Dough is a fun, hip and exciting dessert shop where we take ice cream and infuse it in the middle of a donut and warm pressed together. We launched this brand to create an exciting place for family to enjoy spending time together while tasting something new and different.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

One thing I would say is, invest in the right people because those are the ones who will assist you in growing.

Work on patience and understanding that nothing happens overnight so you have to trust the process

Once you figure out the direction you want to take, stay consistent, disciplined and committed to your journey even on those days it’s the last thing you want to do is stay committed to those key points. As an entrepreneur you are traveling down a path that is unpaved. So, it’s best to have something and keep forging forward and have faith in God.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

I would have to say the most impactful thing my mother did for me is uproot our life from Chicago and leave everything she knew behind to try and create a better space, place and opportunity for me and my brother. That could have not been an easy task for a single woman raising two boys.
