Meet Sequoyah Glenn

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sequoyah Glenn a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sequoyah, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Lot’s of therapy! Truly, I think that I always had a healthy dose of confidence and self-esteem; however, throughout life, it’ll give you blows that make you doubt yourself and even think less of yourself. Through therapy, self-reflection, and working on the areas I needed improvement, my confidence and self-esteem has bounced back and I recommend those things to others that may be struggling.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Sequoyah “DataBae” Glenn, Founder & Principal of 924 CoOperative. At 924 CoOperative, we leverage senior-level consultants coupled with best in class technology to bring forth the best marketing strategy and research to ultimately achieve brands’ marketing goals. I’m most excited about my business’ growth this year, applying what I’ve learned as a startup founder and beginning to think through how to scale my business!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are to be likeable, work with the highest levels of integrity, and to be a forever student of my craft. With those three qualities, even if my idea isn’t the best, people enjoy working with me and know I tried to bring my best. Likeability goes a long way and I encourage people to work with integrity so the ‘liking you’ part comes naturally.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Truly my therapist; she really is like my professional homegirl that has her stuff together! In my business and personal life, she holds me accountable, gives me perspective, and challenges me to always think about how I’m moving throughout life and will I be pleased with my behaviors in the end. She’s helped me develop a toolkit customized to my needs and helped me be a better business woman and human being.
