We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Serena Ogden. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Serena below.
Serena, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My strong work ethic is deeply rooted in the example set by my parents, who were diligent and dedicated individuals. They instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and commitment, which continue to guide my approach to professional endeavors.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I started in 2019 working for a Wellness Clinic as a helper and translator as a part-time employee. I had my last child graduating in 2020 and decided once he went off to college, I would do something to help women.
I was exasperated from working full-time for someone else’s business while managing my studio on the side – it wasn’t until 2020 that I decided to take it further and dedicate more time to my small business. I started to go full force on learning everything about body contouring spa services, procedures, legalities, and everything about how to properly non-invasive body contouring services that help people jumpstart a healthier lifestyle and contour the way they want to without the cost and risk of surgery. Everything I do is non-invasive, safe, and natural.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I believe the three most impactful qualities/skills/knowledge areas in my journey have been resilience, continuous learning, and effective communication.
For those early in their journey, my advice is to prioritize these areas:
Resilience- Cultivate a growth mindset and persevere through challenges.
Continuous Learning – Develop a habit of lifelong learning and seek feedback to improve.
Effective Communication- Hone your communication skills to effectively convey ideas and build relationships.
By focusing on these qualities and skills, you’ll not only navigate your journey more effectively but also continue to grow and succeed in your endeavors.
