Sergey, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I keep creativity alive by constantly seeking inspiration from different sources—art, fashion, nature, and even everyday life. I explore new techniques, experiment with lighting, and collaborate with other creatives like artists and athlets to bring fresh ideas to each shoot. Traveling and visiting art galleries also fuel my imagination, while staying active on social media helps me spot trends and reinterpret them in my own unique style. Most importantly, I’m always learning— trying out new gear, or simply stepping outside my comfort zone to keep my work evolving.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Sergey Yusin, a Miami-based modeling photographer with a passion for capturing beauty, emotion, and storytelling through my lens. My work focuses on fashion, editorial, and commercial photography, helping models, influencers, and brands bring their visions to life. What excites me most about photography is its ability to freeze a moment and transform it into art—whether it’s highlighting a model’s unique personality or showcasing a product in a way that grabs attention.
What makes my work special is the personal touch I bring to every shoot. I don’t just take pictures—I collaborate closely with my clients to understand their goals and create images that feel authentic and striking. I also love experimenting with lighting, concepts, and locations to make each session unique.
In addition to my photography, I offer private classes for aspiring photographers who want to learn about shooting models, using lighting effectively, retouching, and building a successful business in this industry. I’m also expanding into creative workshops where photographers can practice hands-on with models and get real-time guidance.
Moreover I offer a collection of fine art prints for those looking to bring elegance and artistry into their spaces. My prints feature a blend of fashion, beauty, and storytelling, making them perfect for home decor, offices, or galleries.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Creativity and Vision – The ability to conceptualize unique ideas, compose striking visuals, and bring artistic visions to life is at the core of my work. Creativity helps me stand out and deliver compelling images that capture attention.
2. Technical Expertise – Mastering lighting, camera settings, and post-production editing allows me to create polished, high-quality images. My knowledge of retouching and advanced editing techniques ensures every detail is perfect.
3. Communication and Collaboration – Building strong connections with clients, models, and creative teams is key to bringing ideas to life. I listen carefully to understand their goals, provide clear direction during shoots, and create a comfortable, professional environment that encourages confidence and creativity.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
My dad, Gennady Yusin, has been the biggest influence on my photography journey. As a wildlife photographer, he introduced me to the world of photography and taught me not only the technical skills but also the importance of patience, observation, and storytelling through images. Watching him capture the beauty of nature and wildlife with such passion and precision deeply inspired me.
He showed me how to see the world through a lens—paying attention to light, composition, and details—and encouraged me to develop my own style. His guidance and support gave me the confidence to pursue photography professionally, and his dedication to his craft continues to motivate me to keep learning, growing, and pushing creative boundaries.
