Hi Shade, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I developed my strong work ethic by overcoming the challenges of not having a support system and adapting to the world around me.As a young lady, I have had to fight against the odds stacked against me, becoming the solution to the problem and learning to navigate the world with determination and drive.Through self-motivation and perseverance, I have learned to be a self-starter, determined to exceed expectations and become the best version of myself.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I prioritize beauty and self-love, which led me to create Shuga Babe xoxo Cosmetics for women of color. I had to work on my inner confidence after feeling overlooked and mistreated due to my appearance. As an independent plus size model promoting body positivity and self love , i encourage all the females out there build their own confidences . They should try new things like hair styles or lifestyle events.
My passion for beauty led me to create Shuga Babe xoxo Cosmetics, a line of highly pigmented products for Melanated skin. Despite facing mistreatment and lacking confidence, I worked on my inner self and learned to embrace my uniqueness.
As an independent Plus size model and influencer, I encourage women to break free from societal norms and embrace their true selves. Through my rebrand, I aim to continue promoting confidence and body positivity.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe that imperfections are what make us beautiful, and I’m on a mission to help others see themselves in the same light. Join me in embracing our unique qualities and rocking our true styles. Those qualities are acceptance, perseverance, and good heartedness.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am constantly seeking new partnerships to aid in building successful brands. I am diverse and open to exploring various areas.
My rebrand is in progress as I seek collaborations with other creatives who value growth and diversity while breaking conventional barriers.
