Meet Shahan Zaidi

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shahan Zaidi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Shahan, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I am often a bored person, the only thing keeps me running is art and creativity. Purpose of like is to find the purpose.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m an artist, painter, poet, I do a lot of stuff, my profession is related to Film/ Game industry, I’ve been working professionally for over a decade as an art director, currently working in a AAA game studio as a Producer, but my personal hobbies include fine art drawing and painting.
My goal is to become a film maker.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Since I am a self made artist, I learned very early that since I’m not going to get the academic learning, I have to find ways to compete and to aquire skills and knowledge necessary to understand and practice art, so instead of going to the teachers I went direct to the outcome, instead going to the artists I went to the art, instead listening to teachers I read their books. My advice to everyone is be honest to yourself and mark yourself what you honestly deserve, do not under or over appreciate yourself. Keep the struggle going without yearning for results and rewards.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m a creative, I have ideas that I myself can visualize. I have ideas for films, I want to collaborate with the people who are interested in making movies, hardcore fanatics about the Comics, Movies and tv series. I want to collaborate film producers who are interested in making money out of film industry as well as showing the world amazing stories.
